Waitlist opens for affordable units at luxury Yorkville rental, from $728/month

Applications are currently being accepted to replenish the waitlist for affordable apartments in a luxury Yorkville building. Located at 1775 York Avenue, the building, known as The Brittany, is a high-rise located on the East River waterfront. Apartments–set aside for New Yorkers earning 40 percent of the area median income–include one- and two-bedroom apartments for $728/month and $868/month, respectively.

The 36-story rental contains over 270 units and boasts unobstructed views of the East River, Harlem River, and the Triborough Bridge. Apartments feature bay windows and 9-foot ceilings, with two-bedroom units equipped with washer-dryers.

Amenities at The Brittany include 24-hour doormen, attended garage and package room, private shuttle bus to transit, a recreational lounge, children’s playroom, an indoor swimming pool and fitness club with saunas, showers, and changing rooms.

The building faces the landscaped East River Esplanade, a waterfront pathway that spans between 90th and 125th Streets. Plus, local favorite Carl Schurz Park is located just a few blocks away. The closest public transit options to the building include the Q train at 96th Street and Second Avenue and the M31 bus.
