Lottery launches for 258 rentals at TF Cornerstone’s West 57th tower, from $613/month

The lottery for TF Cornerstone's massive building at 606 West 57th Street officially launched on Tuesday, offering 258 mixed-income rentals in the brand new 42-story tower. Designed by Arquitectonica, the rental, dubbed 606W57, boasts a unique, boxy design and will hold over 1,000 apartments. It sits near other West Side architectural standouts like the pyramid-shaped, Bjarke Ingels-designed Via57 West, as well as the Helena. Qualifying New Yorkers earning 40, 60 and 120 percent of the area median income can apply for units ranging from a $613/month studio to a $2,902/month three-bedroom.

Fresh renderings revealed of 99 Hudson Street, the soon-to-be tallest building in New Jersey

When construction of 99 Hudson Street wraps up in Jersey City next year, the 889-foot condominium tower will become the tallest building in all of New Jersey. While that title alone is impressive, new renderings of the Perkins Eastman-designed tower show an equally profound modern interior with a swath of amenities (h/t Curbed NY). Developed by China Overseas America, 99 Hudson will rise 79 stories and contain 781 units, while boasting 15,000 square feet of retail space and 14,000 square feet of public space.

Construction moved along at a rapid pace, whether it be the topping out of Richard Meier's tower at 685 First Avenue or foundational work kicking off at Brooklyn's first supertall 9 Dekalb. In the next several years we'll see these buildings open and show off apartments at sky-high prices, but for now, we get to enjoy the construction process on some of the most notable new architecture to come to New York. $11K/month Ellipse tower penthouse is now Jersey City’s most expensive rental

An apartment in LeFrak Organization’s 41-story luxury tower, the Ellipse, just became the most expensive rental listing in Jersey City. According to The Real Deal, the unit is the biggest of the building’s five penthouses and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a terrace with city views. When LeFrak first launched leasing for the building at 25 Park Lane, the 2,300-square-foot pad was originally listed as $8,211 per month.

$17M Tribeca penthouse received a mod, wood-paneled makeover

Not all luxury living in 21st century downtown Manhattan is a glass-clad cliche, and this sprawling, light-filled Tribeca penthouse is proof. Olsen twins’ former West Village penthouse hits the market for $25M

A massive penthouse with star power has just hit the market for a cool $25 million. The apartment, located atop luxury West Village condo 1 Morton Square, was previously owned by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. According to Curbed, the famous twins bought the pad for $7.3 million in 2009 while the building was still under construction, put it on the market soon after buying, and finally sold in 2010. Well-known New York developer Bruce Eichner of the Continuum Company was the buyer--for $7.7 million--and now he's looking to make quite the profit. The apartment is impressive, though, with interior details imported from France, a sculptural glass wine refrigerator, and a gallery to display art and sculptures.

Octagonal ‘periscope’ tower proposed for Rafael Vinoly’s 249 East 62nd Street

Real Estate Inverlad's in-the-works residential project at 249 East 62nd Street is now one less ZD1 diagram away from being a reality. CityRealty reports that the customary diagram is now on file, giving us a look at the tower's proposed bulk–and the Department of Buildings has found the project, even with a few clever tricks up its sleeve, compliant with the city's zoning laws. The diagram shows that the skyscraper will elevate a number of the units within by using an octagonally-shaped core, periscope style, to peer out over their Upper East Side neighbors towards Central Park and the East River.

The sleek 910-foot-tall tower at 15 Hudson Yards has held the attention of real estate and skyline watchers since construction began last spring. Just listed for $32 million is penthouse 88B, the first of the building’s four penthouses to arrive on the market. Jersey City’s Harborside boardwalk to get $75M makeover and new food hall

Over the past two decades, the Jersey City waterfront has seen a huge boom in both residential and commercial development, revealing an entirely new skyline of tall, glassy towers. And now real estate investor Mack-Cali wants to embrace this waterfront location in the way that new large-scale developments are doing in Manhattan (Waterline Square) and Brooklyn (Domino Sugar Factory). The firm's $75 million plan will piggyback on next month's opening of a new New York Waterway ferry station there and transform the waterfront promenade in front of their 4.3 million-square-foot Harborside office complex into a "one-of-a-kind cultural district" that will include a beer garden, European-style food hall known as The Marketplace, and the Harborside Atrium, an interconnected series of pedestrian routes and lobbies throughout the buildings that will also serve as cultural event space.

REVEALED: 27-story tower at Lincoln Savings Bank site will be tallest in East Williamsburg

The first renderings for the mixed-use rental development planned for 525-545 Broadway in Brooklyn’s East Williamsburg neighborhood were released this week, showing a creative reimagining of the 20th century Lincoln Savings Bank. As CityRealty learned, the project’s developers Blesso Properties and Bravo Builders, plan on building a 27-story, 298-foot tall building with offices and retail on the lower floors and 218 rental properties above it. The plan also calls for 37,000 square-feet of landscaped space, a food hall, nightlife venue and a wellness center.

Shoe brand honcho Steve Madden put his best foot forward and stepped into an impressive spread at 252 East 57th Street. The Journal reports that the company's founder and former CEO dropped $12.2 million on a five-bedroom condo at the 65-story Billionaires' Row tower designed by designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill. This Williamsburg apartment takes full advantage of its soaring, 18-foot ceilings lined with concrete beams. The lofty living room features floor-to-ceiling, built-in bookshelves that require a ladder to fully access, four massive casement windows, and a loft with a glass wall that overlooks the soaring space. Located at the Esquire Lofts at 330 Wythe Avenue—a former shoe polish factory—this apartment spans 1,450 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The unit hit the market last month asking $7,500 a month, but its owners just gave it a small price cut, bringing the monthly rent to $6,995.

New rendering of Extell’s Central Park Tower shows sparkling all-glass facade

A new rendering of Central Park Tower, slated to be the tallest residential tower on Earth, shows the most sparkling image of the residential building yet. Construction for Extell Development’s supertall, located at 225 West 57th Street on Billionaires’ Row, is underway and when completed, the tower is projected to be 1,550-feet tall. As CityRealty reported, the all-glass rendering appears to be taken about 900-feet above Central Park and leaves out rivaling towers, 432 Park Avenue and 111 West 57th Street. The $2.98 billion project is expected to be completed in 2019.

Leasing launches at One Hudson Yards, luxury rentals starting at $5,095/month

The new luxury rental residences at One Hudson Yards at 530 West 30th Street, part of Manhattan's largest new mixed-use development, have begun leasing for the 30-story building's 178 apartments which range from one to three bedrooms (and one four-bedroom penthouse) according to a press release from Related Companies. The building's architecture is by Davis Brody Bond; interiors are by Andre Kikoski, who also designed the building's peerless collection of luxury amenities. Of particular note are extra-tall windows set into a modern curtain wall façade that offer breathtaking views of out over the Hudson River, the surrounding West Chelsea neighborhood and all of Downtown Manhattan–as well as Heatherwick Studios’ "Vessel" sculpture.

125 Greenwich Street gets new rendering, taller 912-foot height

Earlier this month, developers Bizzi & Partners and New Valley finalized a $450 million loan for their Rafael Viñoly-designed skyscraper at 125 Greenwich Street, and they've now released a finalized rendering of the slender condo tower and filed plans that show it will top out at 912 feet (h/t Yimby). The height is only slightly above the most recent reporting of 898 feet, but the project was originally supposed to rise a whopping 1,400 feet. Though it's no longer in line to be downtown’s tallest residential building, it will still offer impressive views and a wind-resistant design.
