Actor-comedian Keegan-Michael Key has sold his Tribeca apartment for $5,000,000, less than the original asking price of $5,495,000. As the New York Post first reported, the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath condo is located at 56 Leonard Street, better known as the “Jenga Building” because of each floor’s unique layout.

Key’s 35th -floor unit measures 1,624 square feet and boasts two private terraces. The Key and Peele star bought the unit for $5,200,000 in 2018.

Douglas Elliman agents Steven Cohen and Tim Malone represented both the seller and the buyer on the deal, which went into contract after just nine days on the market, according to a Douglas Elliman spokesperson.

The corner unit has 11-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and both south and west exposures. A gallery leads to a great room that holds both living and dining spaces. The open-layout kitchen features a black granite center island with a sliding countertop, satin-etched glass cabinetry, and integrated appliances.

The Appalachian solid white oak wood flooring can be seen throughout the unit, including in the main bedroom and en-suite bath. The windowed, marble-clad bathroom has a freestanding tub and a shower.

The second bedroom, which also has an ensuite bath, has direct access to a private terrace with Lower Manhattan views.

Designed by Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron, 56 Leonard is one of the most architecturally distinguished buildings in the city. The building has 145 units; five apartments are currently available, which range in asking price between $3,150,000 for a one-bedroom and $34,500,000 for a five-bedroom.

Amenities include a 75-foot pool with a sun deck, a gym and spa, screening room, children’s playroom, library lounge, on-site parking, and more.
