NYC’s highest ice skating rink to open at Hudson Yards’ observation deck Edge

A sky-high ice skating rink is opening at 30 Hudson Yards this month. Located within the indoor section of the skyscraper's observation deck Edge, "Sky Skate" is a 1,024-square-foot rink made of synthetic ice and surrounded by breathtaking views of the city skyline. At 1,131 feet in the air, the Sky Skate will be the highest ice skating rink in New York City.

Ring in the New Year hanging 1,271 feet above NYC

Thrill-seekers will have the opportunity to ring in the New Year while hanging over the edge of the highest open-air building climb in the world. On Tuesday, City Climb introduced the exclusive event with spots open for eight people. City Climb, located on top of 30 Hudson Yards, offers participants breathtaking views of New York City as they scale a set of open-edged stairways and platforms on the outside of the building. Those who are daring enough and want to welcome the new year on a ‘high’ note can join the digital queue here, which begins at noon on December 22.

Edge switches on the holidays with 50,000 twinkling lights high over Hudson Yards

World’s highest outdoor building climb to open in NYC atop Hudson Yards’ Edge

If simply standing on the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere isn't enough of a thrill, how about scaling the outside of a supertall skyscraper? On Tuesday, Edge, the 100th-floor sky deck that opened at 30 Hudson Yards last spring, debuted "City Climb," a ticketed adventure that challenges visitors to cross a series of open-edged outdoor platforms and stairs along the top of the tower, which stands over 1,200 feet tall. When it officially opens on November 9, City Climb will become the highest external building climb in the world.

Hudson Yards’ observation deck Edge announces special Pride celebration

Hudson Yards' 1,100-foot-high observation deck Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, announced a special partnership with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation to celebrate Pride month. There will be a colorful art installation on the Skyline Steps that encourages visitors to share messages of kindness, affirmation, and love. In addition, visitors can purchase "Born This Way" cocktails and guest packages, tickets to "Sky High" Pride Yoga, and more in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. A portion of sales will go to the Foundation.

Take a yoga class 1,100 feet in the sky at Hudson Yards’ Edge

Looking to take your yoga practice to new heights? Hudson Yards' Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, is bringing back its "sky-high" yoga experience next week. Run by Equinox, the classes take place on the 100th-floor observation deck of 30 Hudson Yards, 1,100 feet above ground. The first weekly event will take place on Thursday, May 6th. The $50 tickets go on sale this Friday and will be released on a week-by-week basis.

This Valentine’s Day, watch the sunrise from 1,131 feet above NYC at Edge

New York City's highest outdoor observation deck has a special treat for lovebirds this Valentine's Day. For that one day, Edge will be opening at 6am, allowing visitors the rare opportunity to watch the sunrise from 1,131 feet in the air. In addition, from February 12th-21st, the Hudson Yards attraction will extend its daily hours from 8am to 10pm (perhaps to accommodate an expected rush of proposals?).

Hudson Yards’ Vessel and Edge reopen today

Hudson Yards announced that both Vessel and Edge reopen today. The 150-foot-tall climbable public art piece and the observation deck that's 1,100 feet in the air (the highest in the Western Hemisphere) have been closed since March, only two days after Edge officially opened to the public. Both attractions will operate at 25 percent capacity and have numerous health and social distancing protocols in place.

The highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere is set to reopen at Hudson Yards

Edge, the 1,100-foot-tall outdoor observation deck at Hudson Yards, is expected to reopen next week with safety precautions taken to "new heights." The sky-high deck first opened to the public on the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards in March, only to close two days later because of the coronavirus pandemic. Now, as New York City prepares to enter phase four of reopening, Related Companies says visitors could start experiencing Edge as soon as July 20, with new timed-entry tickets and public health measures created in collaboration with the Mount Sinai Health System.

Tickets on sale today for Edge, Hudson Yards’ 1,100-foot-high observation deck

6sqft reported back in March that Hudson Yards had opened a reservation list to experience Edge, the observation platform perched at a record-setting 1,100 feet in the sky. Now you can officially buy tickets to the Western Hemisphere's highest outdoor sky deck. Visitors can gaze out on a 360-degree view of New York City's iconic skyline from the champagne bar, or peer down through a glass floor. The platform-in-the-clouds will open on March 11, 2020; you'll be able to sip cocktails or get a light bite at the 100th-floor bar or dine at Peak, the 101st-floor restaurant, café and event space.
