$80M penthouse at 80 Clarkson could break downtown Manhattan sales record

A duplex penthouse at a new two-tower complex next to Google’s Hudson Square headquarters could set a record for downtown Manhattan. Located in Zeckendorf Development and Atlas Capital Group's 80 Clarkson Street, the penthouse is asking $80 million, or more than $11,235 per square foot, according to The Real Deal. The 113-unit building, which topped out last week, has released 83 residential units so far, alongside 18 accessory suites, storage lockers, wine cellars, and parking, with an estimated sellout exceeding $2 billion.

Brooklyn Tower relaunches sales, with studios from $965K

Nearly a year after Silverstein Properties took control, Brooklyn Tower has relaunched sales, with a new marketing team and a new address. The supertall skyscraper at 85 Fleet Street (formerly 9 Dekalb Avenue) first launched sales in 2022 but struggled to make much headway, with just 23 of the 143 condos sold to date. Now, with Corcoran Sunshine leading sales efforts, listings at the tower are once again live, with condos priced from $965,000 for a studio.

Michelle Young is an author, journalist, and founder of Untapped New York, an online publication that unearths New York City's many secrets and hidden treasures. She's also the author of the new non-fiction book, "The Art Spy: The Extraordinary Untold Tale of WWII Resistance Hero Rose Valland." Her Brooklyn townhouse, which she shares with her husband, Augustin Pasquet, and two young daughters, is an enviable oasis of great design with an additional dimension: On some enchanted evenings, it becomes a candlelit literary salon, hosting award-winning authors and chamber music performances. The directive for its recent renovation, a collaboration with architect Côme Ménage of re-A.D, was to create a home that combines life with small children, work, and hosting cultural events that include the larger community.

The curvy, twisting tower rising in Dumbo launched sales this week, with condos starting at $1.75 million. Developed by Fortis Property Group and designed by Hill West Architects, Olympia Dumbo contains 76 residences ranging from one- to five-bedroom apartments. According to a spokesperson for the project, the building's top-floor penthouses, which will list for $16 million and $15.5 million, could become the neighborhood's most expensive condos ever sold if they sell at the asking prices.

Details revealed for new Morris Adjmi-designed condo on 14th Street

When it comes to a prime downtown location, the corner of 14th Street and 6th Avenue is pretty darn good. On the northeast corner, the new 50-unit condo at 540 6th Avenue was designed inside and out by Morris Adjmi, replacing a lower-scale building that held a long-time dance studio (one home to Merce Cunningham) and an outpost of Moscot eyewear. The 12-story condo, which topped out this past November, has now launched a teaser site as it gears up to launch sales. It's also been dubbed Förena, the Swedish word for "unite," a nod to the building's location at the nexus of Greenwich Village, Union Square, and Chelsea.

Thomas Heatherwick's unique condo project on the High Line is showing off its collection of penthouses ahead of the building's impending completion this year. Lantern House, located at 515 West 18th Street in Chelsea, consists of two towers that rise on either side of the High Line, one at 10 stories and the other at 22.
