This cool West Village home is not your average studio apartment. For one, the interior has been designed as what the listing describes as a “zen suite,” complete with carved wooden doors from Bali, grasscloth and leather walls, and a flat-screen TV that ascends from the foot of the bed. Secondly, the bedroom alcove has been transformed into a custom dressing room/closet fit for a fashionista. Located at 400 West 12th Street, the famous Superior Ink condo, the 943-square-foot home is asking $2.3 million.

The home opens to a long, narrow hallway that’s lined with leather walls, art displays, and light coves. Off the hallway are the full bathroom, a walk-in closet, washer/dryer closet, and a small closet that houses a Savant smart home system.

Even the bathroom is on-trend. It has heated travertine floors, a limed oak vanity with a white Quartzite counter, a large walk-in shower with a teak floor, and a separate water closet.

The hallway leads straight into the kitchen, which has white Quartzite counters, a blue-vein Cipolino marble backsplash, a Sub-zero fridge, and stainless-steel Viking appliances.

Around the corner from the kitchen, a bedroom alcove is currently configured as a sleek dressing room, surrounded in custom-built closets. Both the kitchen and the dressing room can be closed off with sliding, hand-carved doors from Bali.

The hallway that leads to the main living space is adorned with architectural mirrors. The bed is enveloped in a white leather headboard, as well as a similar footboard that conceals a custom television lift. There’s enough space for a separate sitting area, across from which is a stretch of Shagreen counters. Grasscloth walls and massive south-facing windows complete the space. Throughout are 10-foot ceilings, Morado wood floors, custom light fixtures, a built-in audio system, and electronic drapes, sheers, and shades.

The Superior Ink condo is LEED-certified and was designed by Robert A.M. Stern in 2010. It’s right across from Hudson River Park and nearby the High Line, the Whitney Museum, and all the best of the Village. Amenities include a residents’ lounge, screening room, fitness center with a pilates/yoga room, playroom, and 24-hour concierge and doorman.
