Nets players might be gobbling up Brooklyn real estate, but when it comes to the Knicks it's all about staying near MSG in Manhattan. Recently, both Sasha Vujacic and Kristaps Porzingis rented units in Midtown West's fitness-centric Sky, and Joakim Noah picked up a $6 million Chelsea penthouse. Now, forward Lance Thomas is settling down a bit farther south, as LLNYC reports that he dropped $3.56 million on a sprawling Tribeca triplex at 52 Lispenard Street, which makes sense since he recently inked a four-year, $27 million deal with the team.

Former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown lists elegant Sutton Place triplex for $9.75M

As you would expect from a former editor of one of the world's most recognized lifestyle magazines, Tina Brown has for the last 20 years found refuge in a spectacular home in an equally spectacular building at 447 East 57th Street. Tribeca Triplex Penthouse With Rooftop Hot Tub Swaps Astroturf for Ipe Wood and Asks $8M

When the tricked-out three-bedroom triplex atop 16 Warren Street sold in 2014 for $5.1 million after languishing on the market with a price that had unceremoniously tumbled from the then-brand-new condo's original 2008 ask of $9.175 million, “Million Dollar Listing New York” star Fredrik Eklund did the deal and shouted it from the (internet) rooftops. Fast forward a mere two years: The home's current owners have slid the sleek penthouse back onto the market for $7.995 million. That doesn’t seem out of line for a Tribeca penthouse, and it’s still lower than the 2008 ask, so perhaps the sellers want to be sure they don’t repeat the home’s last held-over performance. With 3,381 square feet of interior space (which looks like it's had a modernizing update), a terrace with views of the neighborhood's twinkling lights around every turn and a big hot tub a-bubbling on the fully-loaded rooftop deck (now with less astroturf, more ipe wood than in the earlier listing) we doubt they'll have to wait six years to make a sale.

Asking $3.75M, Young Designer’s Tribeca Triplex Is a Perfect Girls’ Night In

This girly-modern Tribeca triplex belonging to young interior designer Sasha Bikoff was featured–along with its owner–in a buzzed-about 2014 NY Times story about how NYC's young contemporary millionaires live, illustrating a penchant for downtown glamour over uptown gilt. Upper East Side Co-op Personally Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Asks $9.5 Million

Talk about a selling point: This apartment, located in the Upper East Side co-op building 820 Park Avenue, has been personally redesigned by starchitect Robert A.M. Stern. He is well known for his project on the other side of the park, 15 Central Park West, where he designed a condo reminiscent of the historic co-op towers along the park. Here, he's taken a prewar co-op, which fills up the entire 12th floor, and added some modern luxury perks. The apartment itself has an interesting history; it was originally configured as a triplex for the building's owner, and was then owned by pharmaceutical giant Cheng Ching Wang, the late father of Vera Wang. Serena and David Steinberg (she's the daughter of Houston-based real estate mogul Gerald Hines, who's built projects designed by I.M. Pei, Frank Gehry, and, of course, Robert A.M. Stern) purchased this floor for $6.5 million in 2008, pre-reno, and subsequently brought on Stern. After such a grand renovation, the owners started seeking a hefty profit back in 2013, originally listing it for $16.5 million. Now, after several price chops, it's back for a much-reduced price of $9.5 million.

"Last Thursday, its final day, art and antiques storage specialists packed and hauled the remainder of what was heading to Christie’s and elsewhere... The sale’s not gone to contract, but there is a buyer," notes the paper.

Broker Nadine Adamson has put her own four-bedroom triplex, located in a Clinton Hill brownstone at 42 Downing Street, on the rental market for the remainder of the summer, asking $10,000 a month. The prewar home has a country vibe with original details and a private garden. However, Adamson is quick to point out that the chickens roaming the yard do not come with the home. Apparently they were just renting for the month of June.
