The city is now accepting applications for 34 middle-income apartments in a new 20-story rental in Coney Island located just one block away from the beach. The Sea Breeze Tower, located at 271 Breeze Avenue, contains 115 units and sits across the street from the Asser Levy Park, with the beach and landmarked Riegelmann Boardwalk just a five-minute walk away. Qualifying New Yorkers earning 130 percent of the area median income can apply for the apartments, which range from $1,700/month studios to $2,950/month three-bedrooms.
Developed by RYBAK Development, the tower’s design melds new and old with the use of both glass and limestone in its facade. The building sits between the seaside neighborhoods of Brighton Beach and Coney Island, with lots of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment, especially at nearby Luna Park.
Amenities include a fitness center, children’s playroom, package room, rooftop access, parking garage, and a 24-hour doorman. Residences, which include studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom rentals, boast 11-foot ceilings, with some featuring a balcony.
According to the lottery advertisement, the building is offering one month free with a one-year lease and two free months of free rent and a $500 gift card with a two-year lease.
Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable units until December 2, 2020. Complete details on how to apply are available here. Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
