The unit comes complete with an appropriately sized ladder the extends from the top unit when the bed is open. The ladder is also connected to a safety rail located on the side of the top bunk. When it’s time to return the unit back into a sofa, just swing the upper bed down and you’re ready to go. Plus,the covers are removable and easy to wash.
