Halstead Real Estate reports that their Greenwich, Connecticut-based agent Christopher Finlay just represented the state’s highest-priced sale of this year. The incredible waterfront estate was originally listed for $21 million and closed this week for $17.1 million. Located within the prestigious Belle Haven neighborhood, the impeccably renovated 1915 Georgian Colonial sits on nearly four acres that come complete with rolling lawns overlooking the Long Island Sound, a large swimming pool, a gorgeous flower garden, and a contoured golf practice green with bunkers.

The home was meticulously renovated in 2014 and offers four levels of living space spread over 10,000 square feet.

If its own acreage wasn’t enough, the home sits on 375 feet of direct Long Island Sound shoreline.

Throughout, you’ll find high ceilings, period architectural detailing, and stately ornamented moldings. Unfortunately, the amazing contemporary art collection likely went with the previous owners.

The kitchen has an incredible amount of cabinetry and counter space, as well as an adjacent butler’s pantry.

A smaller breakfast room is one of several rooms with floor-to-ceilings windows.

The pool is large enough to have a diving board and is flanked by gorgeous plantings.

The gardens look like something you might see in a commercial nursery.

And last but not least is what’s likely to have been a major selling point–the practice golf course.
