This holiday season, you can book a toy-filled FAO Schwarz hotel suite for $3,000/night

A new hotel in Midtown is offering the ultimate New York City holiday experience. Conrad New York Midtown has partnered with iconic toy store FAO Schwarz to bring a 1,800-square-foot one-bedroom suite full of toys, including 10-foot stuffed animals, train sets, and of course, the famous dance-on piano. The playful stay does not come cheap; the holiday suite package starts at $3,000 per night.
“We’ve always wanted to do something like this with a hotel,” David Niggli, the chief merchandising officer of FAO Schwarz, told AFAR, which first reported news of the suite. “To imagine the joy and wonder that will captivate guests from the minute they open the door–it’s magical.”
The suite is available during the holiday season, from Nov. 18 through Jan. 5, and features some FAO Schwarz favorites, including a toddler-sized baby grand piano, holiday-themed library, nutcrackers, musical instruments, vintage toys, and the store’s plush mascots, Patrick and Penelope. Perhaps to the chagrin of parents, all of the toys in the suite will be available for purchase.
Included in the package is a $100 gift card and private shopping spree of the FAO Schwarz at Rockefeller Center with a Toy Solider before the store opens to the public. Guests will also receive breakfast for four at the hotel’s restaurant Dabble and an FAO “Schweetz” basket full of treats.
Even if you choose a regular suite at the Conrad, all guests staying there can order gifts “on-demand,” according to the hotel. An “in-room toy menu” will serve gifts directly to guests’ doors, or to their home. Get more details about the extravagant suite and book a reservation here.
