An indoor pool room with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling arched windows and French doors facing the city skyline is just one unique perk at Robert A.M. Stern’s latest residential tower. Located on the Upper East Side at 200 East 83rd Street, the luxury condo launched sales in October for the building’s 86 residences and soon after broke a record for priciest sale on Third Avenue when a penthouse went into contract for $27 million. Now, we’re taking a look inside the amenity spaces, from the stunning 17th-floor pool room to the romantic “winter garden” and terrace.

Developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the new ground-up development sits at the southeast corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street in the Yorkville section of the neighborhood. The award-winning architects at RAMSA designed the tower with a classical exterior made of Indiana limestone, a signature style of the firm. RAMSA also designed renowned New York buildings like 220 Central Park South, 15 Central Park West, and 70 Vestry Street.

The tower’s amenity spaces, designed by Rottet Studio, complement the exterior of the building by utilizing its architectural elements. RAMSA put the 70-foot-long pool, health club, and entertainment spaces on the 17th floor, in the middle of the tower.

The pool room boasts double-height vaulted ceilings and limestone walls, with floor-to-ceiling arched windows allowing for up-close views of the city skyline and Central Park. Lovely French doors open onto a loggia. Also on this floor, is the “winter garden,” with an outdoor terrace that can be booked for private events. The fitness center and yoga studio overlook these gorgeous spaces.

Additional amenities include a spa and steam room, a porte-cochère with automated parking, a library with an adjoining landscaped garden and fireplace, a children’s playroom, and a private movie theater.

“We were delighted to collaborate with RAMSA. The masterful proportions they achieved at 200 East 83rd allowed our team to design exceptionally elegant spaces meant to be lived in, “Lauren Rottet, principal and president of Rottet Studio, said in an October press release.

“Each detail has been meticulously designed and crafted for the resident, so from the time they wake up to when they go to bed, each moment in between has been considered throughout the home to ensure comfort and ease within an extraordinary, elegant setting.”

With 86 total residences, there will be no more than three units per floor above the seventh level, according to CityRealty. Floors 32 and 33 will be full-floor penthouses; the highest penthouse is a duplex spanning floors 34 and 35. Current availabilities range from a $2.4 million one-bedroom to a six-bedroom penthouse for $32.5 million.
