This weekend, A trains get local, C skips stations, but the L is just fine

It’s a good weekend to hit north Brooklyn as the L and G trains are refreshingly free of caveats and complications. The A and C lines are less refreshing with a mess of skipped stations on local trains and local service on express trains. Also, if you’re headed past Church Avenue on the F to Coney Island, you’re out of luck. Look to free shuttle buses for alternate service, or try the D, N or Q.

2 trains replace weekend 5 service between Dyre Av and E 180 St.

No 2 trains between 96 St and E 180 St.

No 3 trains  are running.

Weekend 2, 3 station closures and route changes apply.

4 service operates every 16 minutes between 125 St and Woodlawn.

Woodlawn-bound 4 trains skip 161 St, 167 St, 170 St, Mt Eden Av and 176 St.

Hunters Point Av and Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av  7 Trains board at the Flushing-bound platform.

Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av and Hunters Point Av 7 Trains board at the Manhattan-bound platform.

No A trains between 181 St and 207 St.

Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A trains skip 155, 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Sts.

Uptown A trains run local from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 125 St.

A Trains make local stops in both directions between Hoyt Schermerhorn and Utica Av.

Uptown A trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St.

163 St-Amsterdam Av A, C station is closed in both directions.

Euclid Av-bound C trains skip 155, 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Sts.

168 St-bound C trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St.

42 Street Shuttle service operates overnight.

B service ends early.

The D, N transfer passageway at 62 St/New Utrecht Av Station is closed.

D trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 36 St, Brooklyn.

Manhattan-bound F platforms at Avenue U, Avenue P, Avenue N, Bay Pkwy and Avenue I are closed for renovation.

F trains run local in both directions between 71 Av and 21 St-Queensbridge.

No F trains will run between Church Av and Stillwell Av, Free shuttle buses provide alternate service.
Between 9:45 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, Mar 23 – 26: Service operates between 179 St and Church Av. Buses operate between Church Av and Stillwell Av, stopping at Ditmas Av, 18 Av, Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Kings Hwy, Avenue U, Avenue X, Neptune Av and W 8 St. Transfer between F trains and buses at Church Av. For direct service between Coney Island and Manhattan/Downtown Brooklyn, take the D, N or Q instead. Transfer between D, N, Q trains and buses at Stillwell Av. Transfer between Q trains and buses at West 8 St.

Jamaica-bound F trains skip 14 St and 23 St.

M service ends early between 71 Av and Essex St.; E, F, R trains provide alternate service.

No M trains between Essex St and Broadway Junction; J Trains provide alternate service.

No M trains between Myrtle-Wyckoff Av and Myrtle Av (Broadway).

Shuttle M trains run every 20 minutes between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht Av, 18 Av, 20 Av Kings Hwy, Avenue U and 86 St are closed for renovation.

62 St/New Utrecht Av N Station transfer passageway is closed.

N trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St, Brooklyn.

No N trains are running between Times Sq-42 St and Ditmars Blvd.

Q trains run local in both directions between 57 St-7 Av and Canal St.

R trains skip 5 Av/59 St, Lexington Av/59 St and Queens Plaza in both directions.

Broad St-bound J trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St.

No J trains are running between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
