Perhaps the low-key lifestyle of an historic townhouse in Vinegar Hill didn’t agree with Twilight Star Robert Pattinson. Because he’s now reportedly been spotted checking out a much more high-profile pad in West Chelsea, according to the Post. In fact, the $20 million penthouse in the famous Sky Garage building is so impressive that it has its own private drive-in elevator. Yup, that’s right, the Selldorf Architects-designed tower at 200 Eleventh Avenue is considered “paparazzi proof,” since celeb residents including Nicole Kidman can drive right into their personal car elevators that take them directly to their contemporary apartments.
Pattison toured the $20 million, three-bedroom, 3,598-square-foot penthouse of this unprecedented building, which has other jaw-dropping features like a glass floor that opens up with the press of a button to reveal a stairway that leads to the bedroom wing below.

LiLo is moving to FiDi. When she wraps up her run of “Speed the Plough” on London’s West End, Lindsay Lohan will cross the pond straight to the Financial District, where she’s inked a deal on a 700-square-foot apartment at the W New York Downtown at 123 Washington Street, according to the Daily News. The one-bedroom pad was originally listed for $2 million and then as a $5,000/month rental, though there’s no confirmed word on exactly what Lindsay, along with her sister Ali, will be paying. But the Lohan girls will have plenty of celeb neighbors, including Kate Upton and Bow Wow.

You probably recognize actor and director Tate Donovan from The O.C., 24: Live Another Day, and the short-lived Hostages (and as the former fiancé of both Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock). And now you might be running into him in Chelsea. According to city records published today, Donovan purchased a $1,775,000 condo at 428 West 20th Street. The converted rowhouse has seven units, and the actor’s 1,100-square-foot unit, number 4, was last sold in 2009 for $1,205,417.
Believe it or not, this is a story about Renée Zellweger that has nothing to do with her new appearance. The actress has listed her historic East Hampton home for $4.45 million, quite a big increase from the $2.15 million she paid for it in 2003.
Located at 30 Egypt Lane, a pretty prestigious street, the circa 1900, 2,000-square-foot farmhouse sits on almost a full acre of land with beautifully landscaped “mature gardens.”

Leonard Stern, billionaire businessman and real estate developer and namesake of NYU’s Stern School of Business, has sold his “ultimate Soho penthouse” for $14,650,000 according to city records released today. In April 2014, a year after Stern originally listed the apartment, New York Magazine released a video tour of the 4,315-square-foot, four-bedroom duplex, revealing everything from a zen solarium to a restaurant-caliber kitchen.
Stern bought the penthouse of 459 West Broadway in 2010 for $14,250,000, but the small profit likely won’t affect him too much since his net worth is estimated at $3.8 billion.

Things must be looking up for Knicks hoopster Carmelo Anthony and his wife LaLa, because they were reportedly seen checking out a $15 million duplex penthouse at the Chelsea Enclave, 177 Ninth Avenue. The sometimes-troubled couple was last seen touring a $29,000 a month rental at 1212 Fifth Avenue, but it seems now they’d prefer to buy.
Located on the transparent top two floors of the Chelsea Enclave, their latest real estate contender has four bedrooms, 3,452 square feet of indoor space, and 2,640 square feet of outdoor space spread across two terraces.
Though she was recently spotted eying a $14 million Tribeca loft, it’s rumored that J.Lo has inked a deal on a $22 million duplex penthouse in NoMad‘s Whitman Building at 21 East 26th Street. She may have decided to up her budget thanks to a two-year, $26.3 million residency deal in Las Vegas. Or perhaps it was the Whitman’s A-list roster of residents that swayed her; her neighbors will include Chelsea Clinton and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon.
Lopez’s new digs feature four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and 3,000-square-feet of outdoor space spread over four terraces with views of Madison Square Park.

According to city records released today, Emmy Award-winning CNN news anchor Don Lemon has purchased a condo in Harlem‘s 2280FDB (2280 Frederick Douglas Blvd.) for $867,780. He already owns the neighboring unit, so this may be an expansion opportunity for the journalist. The newly acquired 859-square-foot, one-bedroom, contemporary unit comes complete with a spacious terrace, boasting impressive city views.

In November 2013 Girls star Zosia Mamet (you may know her as Shosanna) and her boyfriend, actor Evan Jonigkeit, purchased a multi-family house at 896 Flushing Avenue in Bushwick (of course she wanted to live in the world’s seventh coolest neighborhood) for a little over $1 million. The couple had planned to convert the entire 2,500-square-foot home as one single-family dwelling, but less than a year after moving in it’s back on the market, now asking $1.6 million.
