Gwyneth Paltrow’s pristine, all-white Tribeca penthouse has officially sold. City records reveal that the home Paltrow previously shared with former husband Chris Martin has closed for $10.727 million (h/t Observer). The 3,892-square-foot spread at 416 Washington Street has been on the market since March 2016, listed about a year after the “conscious uncoupling” of the flaxen-haired duo. Although the penthouse saw some price chops from its original price tag of $14.25 million, it did sell above its last ask of $9.995 million—and well above the $5.1 million it was purchased for back in 2007.

Coincidentally, just a few days after Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin sold their $10 million Tribeca penthouse at 416 Washington Street (where Gwynie has been currently living), the couple’s former townhouse at 13 Harrison Street has hit the market for $24,995,000 (h/t LLNYC). The five-story, loft-style residence boasts seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, an elevator, three wood-burning fireplaces, three laundry facilities, large skylights, and a lovely solarium. It’s currently configured as two condos– a six-bedroom owner’s quadruplex and a mixed-use ground floor apartment–but will be delivered vacant.

Last month’s price chop and new listing photos certainly did the trick–Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin have finally found a buyer for their Tribeca penthouse at 416 Washington Street. The consciously uncoupled pair bought the apartment as a pied-a-terre in 2007 for $5.1 million, but after going their separate ways, listed it last March for $14.25 million. Gwynie then reduced the price to $12.85 million in November and again to $9,995,000 last month. Now, Mansion Global reports that it’s gone into contract, though until it hits public records there’s no word on who the lucky buyer is and whether or not they’ll retain the “ethereal” interiors and fuzzy nap zones.

Though not notable for leading a private lifestyle (might we mention her very public “conscious uncoupling” and certain intimate products that she’s touted on her blog Goop), Gwyneth Paltrow has been reticent to showcase interior photos of her Tribeca penthouse. She first listed the pad at 416 Washington Street last March for $14.25 million; after chopping the price to $12.85 million in November, she self-published a few images on Goop; but now that it’s taken a third cut to $9,995,000, it looks like Gwynie is loosening up. LL NYC first spotted the new listing with Compass, which now has plenty of views, from the famous fuzzy nap zones, to the living room swing made of an antique Indoor door, to endless swaths of white marble and ethereal hand-painted wall coverings.

The 4,400 square-foot penthouse at the River Lofts at 416 Washington Street in Tribeca that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin kept as a Manhattan landing spot before their conscious uncoupling has yet to find a buyer. The New York Post reminds us that Gwynnie’s loft is still available, along with the 1,900 square foot apartment downstairs owned by restaurateur Reika Yo Alexander (her EN Japanese Brasserie is a celebrity fave, and fashion luminaries like Karl Lagerfeld and Alexander Wang have hosted events at the chic Izakaya), and that the two units might be consciously coupled in a stellar package deal.

Gwyneth Paltrow apartment, River Lofts, Roman & Williams, Goop, NYC celebrity real estate

When 6sqft wrote about Gwyneth Paltrow’s $14.25 million Tribeca penthouse, listed in March, the only interior photos available were slightly blurry, outdated versions from the designer Roman and Williams. But now, perhaps in an attempt to unload the 4,400-square-foot loft (she also reduced the price to $12.85 million), Gwyneth herself has published beautiful images of the home on her blog Goop. First spotted by Time, they showcase the space’s famous fuzzy nap zones, as well as “artisanal” details like a swing in the living room made of an antique Indian door and a master bed “so enormous that sheets had to be custom-made.”

With its cobblestone streets, quirky artists’ lofts and industrial-chic architecture, Tribeca is a hot spot for filming movies and television scenes. This past spring, we did a round up of the musicians that call Tribeca home; now we’re taking a look at the flock of actors and filmmakers who have made the move to the ‘hood’s picturesque streets.

Tribeca’s most famous resident, Robert De Niro, is often credited with transforming the neighborhood into the vibrant place we know today by opening multiple restaurants, developing property, and most notably creating the world-famous Tribeca Film Festival. In addition to De Niro, we mapped out Tribeca’s celebrity residents who are famous onscreen and behind the scenes. Ranging from Gwyneth Paltrow’s “fuzzy nap zones” with river views to Lena Dunham’s artist loft from “Tiny Furniture,” it’s clear that celebrities feel at home in Tribeca.
