The Soho penthouse of artist Charles Ross closed for $25.58 million, falling just short of breaking the record for most expensive sale of a downtown co-op (the current record holder is 141 Prince Street's penthouse, which sold for $27.5 million in April 2011). Located in a former cast-iron manufacturing building, the space originally went on the market in November 2013, listed for $32 million. The 7,500-square-foot duplex unit includes four bedrooms and five full bathrooms. It also boasts a wine cellar that can hold 1,500 bottles, a media room, a massage room, original cast-iron columns, and a 4,200-square-foot roof terrace that has an outdoor kitchen and shower, a covered patio, and a manicured lawn.

Billionaire Philanthropist Jon Stryker Sells His CPW Penthouse for $42 Million

After nearly six months on the market, Jon Stryker's luxurious Central Park West penthouse has finally found its buyer. The penthouse changed hands this week for $42 million, falling $6 million short of the ask. Stryker originally purchased the historic Prasada triplex for $12.8 million in 2002, and he took to renovating the 5,600-square-foot space shortly after with the help of Shelton, Mindel & Associates (Stryker is a trained architect himself). Over the years, the updated design has garnered plenty of accolades, including a spread in Architectural Digest, and in 2010, it nabbed the coveted AIA award for 'Interior Architecture'.

Sales have officially launched at the first new condo development to rise on the Long Island City waterfront in more than a decade. Standing 23 stories at 45-40 Vernon Boulevard, the 182-unit Paragon incorporates the historic Paragon Paint Factory into its base. The tower was designed by Archimaera, with interiors by March and White Design (MAWD), and offers residences ranging from studios to penthouses. Developed by ZD Jasper, current available residences at Paragon start at $765,000 for studios, $965,000 for one-bedrooms, $1.5 million for two-bedrooms, and $2.075 million for three-bedrooms.

As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, the 2,800-square-foot residence is the couple's first known home in New York City. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath condo features sweeping views of the Hudson River. The seller is real estate developer Steven Brauser, who purchased the unit for $10.5 million in 2018 and listed it for $12 million in April.

A Brooklyn Heights townhouse sold for $24.5 million in an off-market deal, marking the borough's most expensive residential deal of the year. The 6,625-square-foot brownstone at 192 Columbia Heights surpassed this year's record, a penthouse in Dumbo that sold for $16.3 million in March. The transaction ranks as the borough's third-most expensive residential sale ever, according to the New York Times. Just two Brooklyn properties have ever fetched higher prices: a 10,000-square-foot mansion in Gravesend that sold for $32 million in 2025 and a four-story home in Brooklyn Heights that sold for $25.5 million in 2021.

Former Planned Parenthood clinic in Noho will be converted to luxury condos

The former home of Manhattan's only Planned Parenthood clinic in Noho is set to become luxury condos. The Landmarks Preservation Commission this week approved a plan to convert the Classical Revival-style commercial building at 26 Bleecker Street into 15 luxury condominium residences. Planned Parenthood, which first moved to the building in 1989, sold the property last year to Israeli development firm Izaki Group Investments for $38.1 million. The nonprofit, which officially shut down operations at the building last October, cited increasing financial and political pressures as reasons for selling.
