The tallest residential building in the state of New Jersey has set another record. A penthouse at 99 Hudson Street has sold for $4,438,500, becoming the priciest condo closing in Jersey City. The deal surpasses the previous record of $3,900,000 set six months ago by…99 Hudson. The record-breaking apartment sits on the 76th floor of the 79-story waterfront tower and measures 2,500 square feet.

The 76-floor unit is the largest penthouse at 99 Hudson, with an additional 655 square feet found across two terraces. In April, a penthouse at the tower sold for $3.9 million and was delivered in “white box” condition.

“The recent Penthouse closings, combined with the robust sales activity we’ve achieved across the spectrum at 99 Hudson, speaks volumes about the appeal of this extraordinary residential building and the confidence buyers have in its enduring quality and value,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors, the building’s marketing and sales agent.

“It’s a unique property in terms of height, views, lifestyle amenities, and location, and buyers are responding.”

Developed by China Overseas America and designed by Perkins Eastman, 99 Hudson broke ground in 2016 and construction wrapped up in 2019. The nearly 900-foot-tall building has a total of 780 condo units.

Residences boast incredible Harbor and skyline views, wide oak flooring, chef’s kitchens with stainless steel fixtures, custom millwork, and Bosch washer and dryers.

The apartments, which include studio to two-bedroom apartments, along with a limited number of penthouses, are priced between $548,000 and $4,000,000.

Amenities stretch over 65,000 square feet indoors and out, including the largest pool at a residential in Jersey City on the eighth-floor deck, cabanas, grilling areas, a playground, and a dog run.

A state-of-the-art fitness center measures over 3,800 square feet and contains a dedicated yoga and Pilates studio, a hot tub, and a steam room.
