Live across from Bushwick Inlet Park in Williamsburg, from just $907/month

November 6, 2018

This new luxury rental in the heart of Williamsburg is offering the best of the neighborhood, located just steps from the East River waterfront and the Bushwick Inlet Park, as well as all of the trendy eateries and hot spots. The building at 56 North 9th Street launched a lottery on Tuesday for nine affordable apartments, all which boast floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings, and state-of-the-art appliances. Qualifying New Yorkers earning 60 percent of the area median income can apply for the units, ranging from a $907/month studio to a $1,165/month two bedroom.

The six-story rental, dubbed 56N9, contains six stories and is situated between Kent Avenue and Wythe Avenue. With a prime location across from the Bushwick Inlet Park and the East River State Park, residents can enjoy both river and skyline views of Manhattan and popular market Smorgasburg during the warmer months.

Building amenities include attended parking, a roof terrace, grilling areas, 24-hour fitness center, storage for tenants, and a play space for children. Perhaps the one downside of the building is its lack of transit options. With the L train shutting down for 15 months starting the third week of April, residents will have to rely on the NYC Ferry, the B32 and B62 buses to get around, or shuttle buses to get around.

Qualifying New Yorkers can apply for the affordable apartments at 56 North 9th Street until November 30, 2019. Complete details on how to apply are available here (pdf). Questions regarding this offer must be referred to NYC’s Housing Connect department by dialing 311.
