A Carroll Gardens townhouse referenced in Lily Allen’s latest album following her split from actor David Harbour has found a buyer. As first reported by the New York Post, the former couple’s home at 381 Union Street has sold with a last asking price of $7.3 million after hitting the market for nearly $8 million in October. The 22-foot-wide brownstone was fully renovated by architect Ben Bischoff of MADE and features a distinctive interior by AD100 designer Billy Cotton, as 6sqft previously reported.

Allen listed the property shortly after the release of “West End Girl,” which has since been deemed a “revenge” album by the Post. In the now infamous lyrics to its title track, Allen references the home directly: “Now I’m looking at houses with four or five floors / And you’ve found us a brownstone, said ‘You want it? It’s yours… So we went ahead and we bought it /.”
The couple purchased the home for $3.35 million in 2021, and it soon underwent a maximalist makeover by Cotton in a “layered Italian” style, according to an Architectural Digest video tour of the property.
Spanning four floors, the late-19th-century brownstone features a main parlor level with traditional crown moldings and a fireplace set against vibrant Zuber wallpaper. Glass doors open onto a striking backyard complete with a sauna and cold plunge.

The kitchen features a large center island, framed by Plain English cabinetry, Ann Sacks tile, and an Officine Gullo range, with a built-in banquette for casual dining.

On the next floor, an expansive primary suite is wrapped in Zuber wallpaper and Pierre Frey carpeting, and includes a fireplace and dual walk-in closets. The equally grand primary bathroom features a soaking tub, along with upholstered finishes and lounging space.

The top floor holds two additional bedrooms and bathrooms, along with a lounge and a home office.

A guest suite on the garden level connects to a den with a fireplace and opens to the backyard, while the finished basement below includes a gym, laundry room, and storage.
From the street, the townhouse features a traditional stoop with wrought-iron railings and a quaint front garden typical of the neighborhood.
