You can live in the real-life Upper West Side condo building that stars as the fictional Arconia in Hulu’s mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building. Starring Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez, the show was filmed at The Belnord, a grand pre-war residence located at 225 West 86th Street. A renovated three-bedroom at the building just hit the market for $4,495,000.

Designed in 1908 by Hiss and Weekes, the Belnord stretches a full city block and is built around a central landscaped courtyard, which also makes an appearance on Only Murders.

The 12-story brick and limestone Italian Renaissance building was designated in 1966 as a city landmark by the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission, which noted its “special character, special historical and aesthetic interest and value as part of the development, heritage and cultural characteristics of New York City” in the designation report.

“For our story and our fictional Arconia, I knew we needed a home that carried enough history and elegance to hold a world of mystery and intrigue—and one that could also serve as a fitting backdrop worthy of our legendary cast,” John Hoffman, co-creator of Only Murders in the Building, told House Beautiful.

Hoffman added, the building, “wrote itself into our show at its own central compelling character.”

The historic property was converted from rentals into luxury condominiums in 2018 by HFZ Capital, which tapped Robert A.M. Stern Architects to lead the transformation.

The available apartment sits on the fifth floor of the Belnord and measures a spacious 2,221 square feet. A formal entry foyer leads to the huge living and dining area.

Through the living area and the fully-equipped chef’s kitchen, the main bedroom faces west and includes a walk-in closet and ensuite windowed bathroom.

On the other end of the home are the two additional bedrooms, one of which has a walk-in closet. These rooms share a bathroom.

The full-service, white-glove condo offers residents a fitness center, private dining room, lounge, and playroom. One of the highlights of the building, in addition to being a unique architectural element, is its interior courtyard and garden, which is centered around a marble fountain.
