Tyra Banks Lists Nolita Condo for $3.8M

Fashion-forward supermodel Tyra Banks has listed her surprisingly unfashionable Nolita condo for $3.8 million, according to the Daily News. She bought the two-bedroom pad back in 2005 for $2.1 million.

The historic Cass Gilbert-designed Beaux Arts building known as the Spring is located at 225 Lafayette Street and has quite the celebrity following. Actress Dakota Fanning currently resides there, and John Mayer sold his unit there for close to $4 million in 2013. We’re guessing it wasn’t the limelight that persuaded Banks to list, though.

The 2,000-square-foot apartment offers plenty of natural light and panoramic views. It features high ceilings, Brazilian mahogany wood floors, and window seats in almost every room. The master suite has huge, customized walk-in closets (not surprising), a luxurious spa-like bath, and a separate office/study area.

Tyra is set to star in a new talk show called “The Fab” in September; perhaps this has some influence on her wanting to move…

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have sold their two penthouses in Nolita, CityRealty first reported. The over 6,100-square-foot, six-bedroom spread is located at 374 Broome Street, a landmarked six-story former carriage house converted in 2005 into a nine-unit condominium. The couple listed the two apartments, which occupy the full sixth floor and half of the fifth floor, in January for $18 million.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are selling their two penthouses in Nolita for $18 million, the Wall Street Journal first reported. The couple purchased a $9 million unit in 2018 followed by a $7.7 million penthouse in 2020 in the six-story Brewster Carriage House at 374 Broome Street. The A-list duo told the WSJ they wanted to combine the two apartments into one but never did.
