A Nolita condo has hit the market and it once belonged to pop singer John Mayer. He picked up the two-bedroom apartment at 225 Lafayette Street in 2005 for $2.17 million. He then sold it for $3.91 million in 2013 to a buyer who using the limited liability company “But It’s Provocative LLC.” The Observer has spotted that the 2,063-square-foot home been re-listed by said provocative owner, and they’re asking $4.35 million. For that amount you’re getting a corner unit on the 12th floor of the building, with quite a modern aesthetic.
You enter through the foyer to an expansive, sunny corner living room with north and east exposures. It’s lined with Brazilian walnut floors and topped by high-beamed ceilings.
The eat-in chef’s kitchen features Varenna cabinets, plus high-end appliances that includes a Bosch stove, Subzero refrigerator and Miele dishwasher.
The master suite has a walk-in closet, en-suite bath with a deep soaking tub, separate shower, and double vanities.
Also in the master bedroom: an en-suite separate windowed office/study with eastern exposures.
Finally, the second bedroom has beautiful open views and features its own separate reading nook. In total the apartment holds two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, 16 windows, 7 closets, and a washer dryer setup.
As the Observer points out, Mayer isn’t the only celeb to have called 225 Lafayette home. Past occupants include Tyra Banks, Dakota Fanning and Keith Richards‘ daughter, Theodora.
