Applications are now being accepted for 125 affordable units at Linden Terrace, an energy-efficient residential development in East New York. Located at 583 Emerald Street, the 156-unit building represents the third phase of the new affordable development. New Yorkers earning 30, 50, and 70 percent of the area median income, or between $16,938 annually for a single person and $115,850 for a household of seven, are eligible to apply for the units, which range from $419/month studios to $1,963/month three bedrooms.

A housing lottery opened this week for 129 affordable apartments at a new energy-efficient residential development in East New York. Located at 573 Emerald Street, the development is the second phase of the affordable and supportive multi-building housing project Linden Terrace. New Yorkers earning 30, 50, 60, and 70 percent of the area median income, or between $16,183 for a single person and $115,850 for a household of seven, can apply for the apartments, which range from $397/month for studios to $1,865/month three bedrooms.

84 affordable senior apartments available at new green development in the Bronx’s Concourse Village

In a super convenient Bronx location, a brand new, sustainable development that was built as subsidized housing to help seniors "age in place" has just opened an affordable housing lottery for 84 apartments. Available to households with at least one member who is 62 years of age or older and who earn between $0 and $51,200 annually, the units will cost tenants 30 percent of their income. Designed by MAP at 122 East Clarke Place in the Concourse Village neighborhood, the building encourages social interaction through lounges on each floor, a roof terrace, and landscaped rear yard for outdoor cooking.

206 affordable apartments available at mixed-used development in East New York, from $375/month

In East New York, a new affordable housing lottery has just launched for 206 units at a large new development at 2858 Linden Boulevard. Ranging from $375/month studios to $2,143/month two-bedrooms, the apartments are available to those earning 30, 40, 50, 60, and 100 percent of the area median income. The building was designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, which is responsible for three buildings on the mixed-use site. They all surround a landscaped courtyard terrace, and this building, site one, also has a community room, children’s playroom, bike room, on-site card-operated laundry room, and parking.

Earn less than $30,560 annually? Apply for affordable units in East Harlem, from $613/month

An East Harlem building, dubbed the Aspen, is currently accepting applications for low-income studio and one-bedroom apartments and will also replenish its waitlist. Designed by Costas Kondylis and Magnusson Architecture and Planning, the building, located at 1955 First Avenue, rises seven stories and features 232 apartments. Qualifying New Yorkers earning between $22,903 and $26,720 can apply for $613/month studios, and those earning between $25,549 and $30,560 are eligible for $659/month one-bedrooms.

REVEALED: Massive Mixed-Use Development at Red Hook’s Revere Sugar Factory Site

The housing-design experts at Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) have hashed out a feasibility study to redevelop the Revere Sugar Factory site in Red Hook with a 1.7 million-square-foot development to include more than 900 apartments, 250,000 square feet of retail, and 400,000 square feet of parking. The six-acre site at 280 Richards Street is owned by the Joesph Sitt-led, Thor Equities, who purchased the parcel back in 2005 to the tune of $40 million, according to the New York Observer. The vacant parcel juts out 700 feet into the Erie Basin, and sits between the Ikea parking lot and the Red Hook Stores building home to Fairway Supermarket (and Michelle Williams, of course). Though MAP's rendering date back to 2007, they have yet to be publicized, and we have the first look here.
