Rejoice: Straphangers are being a granted a relief from the past two weeks’ truly brutal service changes this weekend and upcoming week. That’s not to say the subways won’t be a mess, especially for those reliant on the 4 and 6 trains, but the track work’s impact will have, by comparison, a far more manageable planned impact.

No 1 trains between 137 Street and 242 Street – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

No 2 trains between Dyre Av and E 180 St – free shuttle buses provide alternate service. No 2 or 3 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan – no service at Park Place, Wall St, Clark St and Hoyt St.

Downtown 4 trains run express from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge – no service to 33, 28, 23 Sts, Astor Pl, Bleecker, Spring and Canal Sts.

5 trains replace weekend 2 service between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St.

Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains run express from Grand Central-42 St to Brooklyn Bridge, stopping at 14 St-Union Sq – no service to 33, 28, 23 Sts, Astor Pl, Bleecker, Spring and Canal Sts.

Inwood-bound A trains skip 81, 96, 103 and 116 Sts late nights.

Uptown C trains skip 81, 96, 103 and 116 Sts. No C trains between 145 St and 168 St – A trains make local stops.

E trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and 21 St-Queensbridge – no E service at Queens Plaza, Court Sq-23 St, Lexington Av/53 St, 5 Av/53 St, 7 Av, 50 St, 42 St/Port Authority, 34 St-Penn Station, 23 St and 14 St. Free shuttle buses operate between Court Sq-23 St and 21 St-Queensbirdge, stopping at Queens Plaza.

L trains run approximately every 24 minutes between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Pkwy.

Norwood-bound D trains run via the N from Stillwell Av to 36 St – no Norwood-bound service at Bay 50 St, 25 Av, Bay Pkwy, 20, 18 Avs, 79, 71, 55, 50 Sts, Fort Hamilton Pkwy and 9 Av.

No M trains between Essex St and Myrtle Av (Broadway) – Brooklyn J trains provide alternate service. No service at Flushing Av, Lorimer St, Hewes St, Marcy Av and Essex St.

Manhattan-bound N trains skip 25 St, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St and Union St late nights. No N trains between Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

Manhattan-bound R trains skip 25 St, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St and Union St.

No J trains between Essex St and Broad St.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
