Steve Madden’s former Trump Palace pad lists for $11.5M

The 47th-floor condo at 200 East 69th Street, with six balconies and six bedrooms, once owned by legendary shoe designer Steve Madden, has 360-degree views of Central Park, both rivers, and the city skyline. And at $11,500,000–the fashion mogul paid $15 million for the apartment in 2013–you could even call it a deal. The Lenox Hill home is a combination of two units within Trump Palace, a 57-story building completed in 1991.

The 4,617-square-foot space begins with a private, key-locked elevator. To the west of the impressive foyer with barrel-vaulted 12-foot ceilings (you could even call it the West Wing), a 30-foot living room is framed by parquet de Versailles flooring and Central Park views, enhanced by a balcony.

To the east is a casual living and dining space with dark antique chestnut flooring. An open kitchen stands at the ready with Gaggenau appliances framed by custom cabinetry. A breakfast nook and two balconies serve this space.

The primary suite boasts walls of windows and a balcony with views of the park. The attendant marble bath has a soaking tub and a separate shower. There are five additional bedrooms, all with radiant heated floors.

Designed by Frank Williams, who worked with I.M. Pei on the Four Seasons Hotel, the 56-story brick tower is among the tallest residential buildings on the Upper East Side.
