While the usual slew of service changes will be impacting straphangers this weekend, there are some silver linings. The D, F, N and R have abandoned their masquerade as one another and once again assumed their usual identities and track routes. Unfortunately, this weekend the M is totally offline, with free shuttle buses and the J train picking up some of the slack. Read on for the rest:

No 1 trains between 137 Street and 242 Street – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

2 trains replace weekend 5 service between Dyre Avenue and E 180 Street. No 2 or 3 train service between Manhattan and Brooklyn – no service at Park Place, Wall Street, Clark Street and Hoyt Street.

No 4 trains between 149 St-Grand Concourse and 125 Street – free shuttle buses provide alternate service. No 4 trains between Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue – free shuttle buses provide alternate service. Woodlawn-bound 4 trains run express from Burnside Avenue to Woodlawn.

5 trains replace weekend 2 service between Wakefield-241 Street and East 180 Street. No 5 trains between Grand Central-42 Street and E 180 Street.

No 7 trains between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards. Queensboro Plaza-bound trains skip 69, 52, 46, 40 and 33 Streets – buses operate in two sections: 1) Queens between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av and 2) Manhattan between Times Sq-42 St and 34 St-Hudson Yards.

Inwood-bound A trains skip 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 116, 135 and 155 Streets and run express from Euclid Avenue to Hoyt Schermerhorn.

No C trains between 145 Street and 168 Street – A trains provide alternate service. Uptown C trains skip 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 116 and 135 Streets. Manhattan-bound C trains run express from Euclid Avenue to Hoyt Schermerhorn.

Jamaica Center-bound E trains skip 75 Avenue and Briarwood.

42 Street Shuttle service operates overnight. No Rockaway Park Shuttle service at Broad Channel. The Rockaway Park Shuttle operates approximately every 20 minutes between Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St and Beach 90 St and via the A to/from Far Rockaway-Mott Av.

B service ends early, at 9pm Friday.

Norwood-bound D trains skip 170 St and 174-175 Sts.

Jamaica-bound F trains skip 75 Av, Briarwood and Sutphin Blvd. No F trains between Church Av and Stillwell Av – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

No M trains running beginning 8:30pm Friday – free shuttle buses provide alternate service.

No J trains between Marcy Av and Broadway Junction – free shuttle buses provide alternate service between Broadway Junction and Marcy Av, making all J and M stops. J service operates in two sections: between Jamaica Center and Broadway Junction and between Marcy Av and Broad St.

Astoria-bound N trains skip 39 Av and Broadway.

Special W service operates between Whitehall Street and Ditmars Blvd. Astoria-bound W trains skip 39 Av and Broadway.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
