Is your apartment full of stuff lying around everywhere? Do you wish you could just make it disappear? This strange yet functional object can help make your cleaning dreams come true, whether you need to quickly stow away your dirty clothes on the floor, random knickknacks that don’t have a place or your kids’ innumerable toys. An idea by designer Nicole de Bie, HOPPETEE is a soft box that can playfully hide clutter inside in an instant, but can make it reappear in no time.

HOPPETEE was originally a Dutch word meaning “come on,” “go on,” or “you did it!” and has become a slang word in France, Germany and Spain. As its namesake, this simple and soft storage box will quickly help you hide your clutter. A box, a closet, a toy and a children’s play mat, this multifunctional object takes on many different purposes.

When HOPPETEE is closed it looks like a giant pouf that could suit any room with its pale grey color and minimal design. But once it’s open, its bright peach-colored wool invites kids and adults to go through its contents. The object also serves as a soft playing mat for the kids or a comfy spot where adults can relax. Simple, functional and easy to wash, HOPPETEE will certainly help out with a busy, cluttered life.
