Brace for another weekend of service changes on nearly every line

Planned work will be impacting just about everyone this weekend, with only the M lucky enough to avoid significant disruptions. The J isn’t running between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center and 7 train service will be severely limited. Most lines will be skipping multiple stops and running with delays—see the full damage below.

1 trains skip 168 Street in both directions. From 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, downtown 1 trains will
skip 137, 125, 116, 110 and 103 Streets in Manhattan.

Uptown 2 and 3 trains will be making stops at 18, 23, 28 Streets. Manhattan-bound 2 and 3 trains will skip Eastern Pkwy, Grand Army Plaza, and Bergen Street. The Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 and 5 platform at Winthrop Street will be closed through July 2019. 2 trains will run every 12 minutes over the weekend.

Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. there will be no 3 service between Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn. Take a shuttle bus instead.

Manhattan-bound 4 trains skip Eastern Pkwy, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street in Brooklyn. From 3:45 a.m. on Saturday to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Woodlawn-bound trains will skip 183 Street, Fordham Road, Kingsbridge Road, and Bedford Park Blvd in the Bronx. Saturday and Sunday through 6 p.m. 4 trains will run every 16 minutes and some uptown 4 trains will skip 170 Street, Mt Eden Avenue, and 176 Street.

Eastchester-bound 5 trains will skip Morris Park, Pelham Pkwy and Baychester Avenue in the Bronx. The Eastchester-bound 5 platform at Gun Hill Road will be closed through September. 5 trains will be running every 20 minutes this weekend.

Downtown 6 trains skip 33, 28, and 23 Streets in Manhattan.

From 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip 33, 40, 46, 52, 69, 74, 82, 90, 103 and 111 Streets in Queens.

Downtown A and C trains will skip 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Streets in Manhattan this weekend. A trains will be running every 10 minutes. C trains will run every 12 minutes.

E trains run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71 Av in Queens this weekend.

There will be no L service between Broadway Junction in Brooklyn and 8 Avenue in Manhattan, take the M14 or a free shuttle bus.

This weekend D trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Avenue and 36 Street in Brooklyn. D trains will run every 12 minutes.

There will be no F service over the weekend between Church Avenue and Stillwell Avenue, take a free shuttle bus instead. F trains run will run local in both directions this weekend between 21 Street-Queensbridge and 71 Avenue.

M service is extended to the 96 Street Q Station in Manhattan on weekends until March 18.

N trains will run local in both directions between DeKalb Avenue and 36 Street in Brooklyn. Uptown NQ, and R trains skip Prince, 8, 23, 28, and 49 Streets in Manhattan. Astoria-bound N trains skip 39 Avenue, 36 Avenue, Broadway and 30 Avenue in Queens. Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht, 18, and 20 Avenues are temporarily closed. N trains will run every 12 minutes.

Downtown Q trains will make local stops at 28, 23, 8 and Prince Streets in Manhattan. Q trains will run every 10 minutes.

There won’t be any J service between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens, take the E or hop on a free shuttle bus.

Court Square-bound G trains skip Bedford-Nostrand Avenue and Church Avenue-bound G trains will skip Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
