Located at 202 Tillary Street, the property offers modern apartments with panoramic skyline views, complemented by a suite of upscale amenities. New Yorkers earning 40, 60, 110, and 120 percent of the area median income can apply for the units, with rents starting at $784/month for studios, $828/month for one-bedrooms, and $967/month for two-bedroom apartments.

Developer wants to build huge South Bronx project with more than 1,100 affordable apartments

The developer behind the redevelopment of the historic Kingsbridge Armory and other major Bronx projects wants to rezone a large site in the borough to allow for a pair of mixed-use towers with over 1,000 affordable apartments. Last week, William Bollinger, a development consultant with Maddd Equities, filed a rezoning application with the Department of City Planning (DCP) for 1014 Brook Avenue in Morrisania. The 1.2 million-square-foot project includes 1,128 affordable units across 22- and 26-story towers. As first reported by Crain's, the rezoning would permit both residential and manufacturing uses, as the site currently allows manufacturing only.

A new mixed-use development in Inwood that will house New York City's first-ever Dominican arts and cultural center and more than 600 apartments has launched an affordable housing lottery. Located at 375 West 207th Street, the 30-story building will house a museum and exhibition space dedicated to showcasing and preserving the vibrant arts and culture of the Dominican Republic. New Yorkers earning 30, 50, 70, and 110 percent of the area median income can apply for the units, priced from $555/month studios to $2,592/month two bedrooms.

A housing lottery opened this week for 198 mixed-income units at a new residential development in the South Bronx. Located as part of a two-building project at River Avenue and McClellan Street, the McClellan Apartments is a 17-story building with 250 apartments. New Yorkers earning 30, 50, 70, and 100 of the area median income, or between $18,515 for a single person and $175,100 for a household of seven people, can apply for the apartments, which range from $465/month studios to $2,639/month three bedrooms.

A housing lottery opened this week for 225 mixed-income units at a new residential development just a few blocks from Yankee Stadium. Located at 1164 River Avenue in the South Bronx, the 17-story building is part of a larger residential project known as River Crest Apartments, which will bring nearly 750 units of affordable housing to the block. New Yorkers earning 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80 percent of the area median income, or between $15,429 for a single person and $132,400 for a household of seven people, are eligible to apply for the apartments, which range from $375/month studios to $2,059/month three-bedrooms.

With a deal between the New York City Football Club and developer Maddd Equities to build a new soccer stadium in the South Bronx on the horizon, the Urban Land Institute New York (ULI NY) and Bronx Community Board 4 (CB4) have issued a report outlining how the new stadium could best impact the surrounding community. ULI New York recommendations outline important strategies that would allow the proposed stadium to become a catalyst for neighborhood growth.

750 mostly affordable apartments coming to the South Bronx near Yankee Stadium

The South Bronx's building boom is continuing with the announcement of a pair of developments near Yankee Stadium that will bring 750 mixed-use residential units to the area. As reported by The Real Deal, Maddd Equities is developing two sites across from each other at 1159 and 1184 River Avenue. The former will have 250 affordable and supportive housing units, and the latter will be a set of 17-story buildings with 500 apartments, most of which will be reserved for low-income households.
