A 150-year-old Gothic Revival-style New York home that once belonged to actor Bill Murray is for sale. Built in the late 1860s, the charming four-bedroom abode at 124 Washington Spring Road sits within Snedens Landing, a quiet hamlet in Rockland County known for its many celebrity residents and Revolutionary War history. Murray lived at the home for several years during the 1980s before selling it in 1990, according to the New York Post. The home, known as “The Manse,” is asking $2,075,000.

The home served as the parsonage for the circa 1863 church located across the street, according to the listing. After undergoing a $1 million renovation in 2016, the home hit the market in 2018 for $1,695,000 and found a buyer that same year.

As Mansion Global reported, Murray lived there while the work on his home in the neighborhood was being completed. According to the listing, the property boasts another celebrity connection. A bathtub that was once in a house owned by actress Uma Thurman was installed at the Manse.

The single-family home contains four bedrooms, two and a half baths, and many restored original details, including crown moldings and pine floors. There are also three fireplaces, including one Victorian mantel with ceramic Minton tiles. Two living areas sit on either side of the front door, both with views of the front porch and yard.

The nice and bright country-style kitchen features a brick pizza oven, adding a rustic vibe to the space. But the renovated kitchen is totally modern, with soapstone and marble countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. A stylish butler’s pantry features shelving with a rolling ladder and a wet bar.

A lovely wall of windows frames the outdoor space and helps bring in natural light to the dining area.

The primary suite includes a simple, but elegant, bedroom and ensuite bathroom, which has been upgraded with modern fixtures.

On the upper levels of the home, you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms, which are light-filled and amply-sized, and a home office. There’s also a walk-out basement.

The house sits on about a half-acre of land, including a fenced-in yard. With close proximity to green space, hiking trails overlooking the Hudson River, and small-town quaintness, all while being just 30 minutes away from New York City, the property’s location offers the best of both worlds.
