Bethenny Frankel wants to flip her Hamptons home for a $1M profit

May 21, 2018

Just six months ago, “Real Housewives of New York City” star and Skinny Girl maven Bethenny Frankel bought her second home in the Hamptons, a huge and historic Bridgehampton spread at 2623 Montauk Highway. The 4,200-square-foot home, a former bed-and-breakfast known as the Morning Glory House, cost her $2,037,000, but she merely made the purchase as an investment, keeping her Bridgehampton residence as her main home. And now she’s looking to cash in, as Curbed Hamptons reports that Frankel has re-listed the property for $2,995,000.

The home sits on a half-acre of property and was built in 1910. It was later renovated with a more modern look by BOKA architects. Frankel didn’t do a ton of work in her six months, but she did update the shingles and do some interior painting.

Of course, outdoor space is key to Hamptons living, and this home has an in-ground gunite pool, bluestone patio out back, exterior dining and lounging areas, and a wrap-around veranda.

During the renovation, original details such as crown moldings, a hand-carved staircase, and a board-and-batten entry were preserved.

The architects added a modern kitchen and all the marble bathrooms.

The home has seven bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, and a second-floor gym. There’s also an unfinished third floor that could be used a playroom or office.

Frankel personally resides at her Bridgehampton home, which she bought in 2015 for $3.2 million. Back in Manhattan, she recently bought a $4.2 million, 4,000-square-foot loft in Soho, which she completely renovated. She also owns another Soho pad that she’s renting for $13,500 a month.
