Anne Hathaway Puts DUMBO Clocktower Loft Back on the Market for $4.25 Million

June 10, 2014

It looks like Anne Hathaway is ready to try selling her DUMBO loft again. We’re not sure why the star would want to part with her gorgeous 2BR/3.5BA unit at 1 Main Street, the site of DUMBO’s Clocktower building. She just purchased the building in February of 2013 and after apparently not even moving in, she was ready to unload the loft by September. According to records, she took the loft off the market in December. But if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. 6 months after removing the listing from the market, Ms. Hathaway has put 1 Main Street #9B back on the market, this time with Town Residential listing agents Steven Gold and Chris Whelan.

This gorgeous space was recently redesigned by DHD Architecture + Interior Design. The interior design and architecture firm removed one of the original three bedrooms, converting the space into two giant bedrooms and a home office. The master suite has a walk-in closet, two additional closets, and a vanity nook. The en suite boasts a deep soaking tub and a large shower. The second bedroom also has an en suite and walk-in closet.

The home office, situated off the foyer, is now a library/media room. The loft also features a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and a separate dining area. The living room has an additional sitting area adjacent to it, and the entire apartment has those quintessential high ceilings, hardwood floors and killer views.

The Clocktower is one of DUMBO’s most desirable buildings, overlooking the East River and offering a front row seat to the Manhattan skyline. The building has a number of amenities, including a gym and a common roof deck.

Poor Anne. It must be hard having to be trapped with a place like that for over a year. We’re playing our violins. But here’s hoping the starlet will have better luck selling the 2,592-square-foot pad with her new dream team.

The star is asking $4.25 million for the loft.

Photos of the renovated space can be seen at Town Residential.
