The 3 and C are the only trains without planned track work this weekend

May 3, 2019

As the L train enters the second week of its slowdown this weekend, there are plenty of service changes hitting most other lines. Watch out for skipped stops across the board (but especially on the 1, 2, 4, 6 and D trains) and limited service in Brooklyn and Queens on the A and J trains. You can also expect longer than usual delays on the 2, D, N, and Q trains, which are only running every 12 minutes—and that’s all without taking into consideration all the unplanned disruptions that are sure to occur.

Uptown 1 and 2 trains skip 50, 59, and 66 Streets and downtown 1 and 2 trains skip 28, 23, 18, Christopher, Houston, Canal and Franklin Streets in Manhattan. 1 trains skip 168 Street in both directions.

Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 trains run express from 241 Street to East 180 Street in the Bronx. The Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 and 5 platform at Winthrop Street in Brooklyn will be closed through July 2019. 2 trains will be running every 12 minutes this weekend.

Uptown 4 and 6 trains skip 51, 68, 77, 96, 103, 110 and 116 Streets in Manhattan.

5 service between East 180 Street in the Bronx and Bowling Green in Manhattan will stop at 8:30 p.m. every night this weekend, including Friday—take the 2 or 4 train instead. The Eastchester-bound 5 platform at Gun Hill Road is temporarily closed.

There won’t be any 7 service between Willets Point and Main Street in Queens, hop on a free shuttle bus instead.

There won’t be any A service this weekend between Euclid Avenue in Brooklyn and Lefferts Blvd/Howard Beach in Queens, take a free shuttle bus instead.

E trains run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71 Avenue in Queens.

L trains run every 20 minutes between Rockaway Pkwy in Brooklyn and 8 Avenue in Manhattan. All L trains at 1 Avenue and 3 Avenue in Manhattan board from the Brooklyn-bound platform.

Coney Island-bound D trains skip 182-183, 174-175, and 170 Streets in the Bronx and Union Street, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Prospect Avenue and 25 Street in Brooklyn. The 62 Street/New Utrecht Avenue Station D, N transfer passageway is still closed due for ongoing elevator repairs. D trains will run every 12 minutes this weekend.

F trains run local in both directions between 21 Street-Queensbridge and 71 Avenue in Queens.

M service is extended to the 96 Street Q station in Manhattan.

Downtown NQ, and R trains skip 49 Street in Manhattan. Coney Island-bound N trains will skip Union Street, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Prospect Avenue, and 25 Street in Brooklyn this weekend. Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht, 18, and 20 Avenues are temporarily closed. The Astoria Blvd NW station is temporarily closed. N trains run every 12 minutes this weekend.

96 Street-bound Q trains will run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Q trains will run every 10 minutes.

Bay Ridge-bound R trains skip Union Street, 4 Avenue-9 Street, Prospect Avenue and 25 Street in Brooklyn.

There won’t be any J service between Broadway Junction in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens, take the E or a free shuttle bus instead. The J will continue to skip 111 Street until the end of the summer.

Court Square-bound G trains skip Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
