Beatrice Trussardi, Police Building, 240 Centre Street 3K, NYC real estate sales

Beatrice Trussardi does much more than sit alongside the runways at Fashion Week. In addition to running the internationally successful, Italian fashion label Trussardi that her late father Nicola Trussardi founded, she heads the Nicola Trussardi Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes contemporary art and culture. And now she can add “New York City homeowner” to her roster of titles.

Ms. Trussardi just snatched up unit 3K at 240 Centre Street, the historic landmark known as the Police Building, for $2,147,500, according to city records. The one-bedroom Nolita apartment is chic and contemporary, and we’d expect no less for such a fashion-forward gal.

Stephen Yalof, Liora Yalof, 285 Central Park West, The St. Urban, NYC real estate sales

It must have been a nice change of pace for Stephen Yalof to look for residential properties instead of the retail spaces he scoped out for 12 years as Senior Vice President of Real Estate for the Ralph Lauren Corporation and now as CEO of Premium Outlets. Though for his wife Liora Yalof, a broker with Corcoran, it was likely just another day at work.

The couple paid $5.3 million for their new three-bedroom home at the St. Urban on Central Park West. Apartment 11E is an eclectic mix of historic details and global-inspired décor, perfect for such a well-rounded real estate pair.

25 East 22nd Street, David Chu, Flatiron townhouses, nyc townhouse renovations, nyc corporate headquarters buildings

$27 million is nothing to sneeze at, even if you are David Chu, the founder of international clothing company Nautica. Chu purchased the townhouse at 25 East 22nd Street in 2004 for $9.3 million. He then embarked on a gut renovation, replacing the limestone façade, adding fifth and sixth floors and an elevator, and creating a swanky mixed-use building that housed his corporate headquarters and a one-bedroom pied-à-terre. The home went on the market in May 2013 for $29.99 million, and has now sold to buyer Hannah Charitable LLC for $26.8 million.
