A majority of train lines will have to deal with service changes this weekend, with lots of skips, delays, and convoluted routes, especially on the E. To top it all off, the MTA just announced there will be no 7 service on Saturday between Queensboro Plaza and 34 Street-Hudson Yards from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., due to urgent track repair needs.

1 trains skip 168 Street in both directions. Uptown 1 trains will run express from Chambers Street to 34 Street-Penn Station in Manhattan.

2 and 3 trains will run local in both directions between 96 Street and 72 Street in Manhattan. Wakefield-bound 2 trains and Harlem-bound 3 trains will skip Eastern Pkwy, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street in Brooklyn. 2 trains will only run every 12 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.

Downtown 4 trains will run express from Grand Central-42 Street to Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan. Manhattan-bound 4 trains skip Eastern Pkwy, Grand Army Plaza and Bergen Street in Brooklyn. Some uptown 4 trains will also skip 170 Street, Mt Eden Avenue, and 176 Street. Woodlawn-bound 4 trains skip 183 Street, Fordham Road, Kingsbridge Road and Bedford Park Blvd in the Bronx. 4 trains run every 16 minutes between Burnside Avenue and Woodlawn in the Bronx.

On Sunday only, Bronx-bound 5 trains will not run between E 180 Street and 149 Street-Grand Concourse, consider the 2 as an alternate option. Over the weekend, 5 trains will run every 20 minutes. Heads up: Beginning next Friday, March 1 and through September, the Eastchester-bound 5 platform at Gun Hill Road will temporarily close.

Downtown trains run express from Grand Central-42 Street to Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan. On Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains will run express from Pelham Bay Park to Parkchester in the Bronx.

On Saturday from 6:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be no 7 service between Queensboro Plaza and 34 Street-Hudson Yards, take the EF, N, R, S, or a free shuttle bus.

Uptown A and C trains skip Spring, 23, 50, 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 110 and 116 Streets. On Saturday, A trains will run every 10 minutes and C trains will run every 12 minutes throughout the weekend.

On weekends through March 18, E trains will run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71 Avenue in Queens. There will be no E service this weekend between Briarwood and Jamaica Center, hop on a free shuttle bus instead. Jamaica Center-bound E trains run via the F from W 4 Street to 47-50 Streets. Uptown E trains skip Spring Street and 23 Street.

There will be no L service between Broadway Junction in Brooklyn and 8 Avenue in Manhattan, take the M14 or a free shuttle bus.

The 62 Street/New Utrecht Avenue Station D, N transfer passageway is closed due to elevator repairs. D trains will run every 12 minutes.

Through March 25 on weekends, there will be no F train service in both directions between 21 Street-Queensbridge and 71 Avenue.

M service is extended to the 96 Street Q Station in Manhattan on weekends until March 18.

Downtown N trains skip 49 Street in Manhattan. There will be no N service between Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza, but free shuttle buses will be available. Coney Island-bound N platforms at Fort Hamilton Pkwy, New Utrecht Avenue, 18 Avenue, and 20 Avenue are temporarily closed. N trains run every 12 minutes.

Uptown Q and R trains skip 49 Street in Manhattan. Q trains will run every 10 minutes.

Through the summer, the 111 Street J station will be temporarily closed.

Per the whims of the MTA, there will probably be other problems, and the problems stated above are subject to change and worsen.
