French-born footballer Thierry Henry has put his New York penthouse on the market for $25 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. Henry bought the three-story penthouse for $14.85 million in 2010, when he was signed to the New York Red Bulls; after his retirement in 2014, he has stayed with the game as a manager and announcer. Now 16 years later, the penthouse at 39 Crosby Street (also known as 425 Broome) is once again on the market. The 6,086-square-foot condo with 3,400 square feet of outdoor space spans three levels, plus terraces overlooking the Hudson River and a rooftop deck that looks big enough for a soccer match.

The New York City home of feminist icon Gloria Steinem, who died on September 2 at 92, will become a permanent gathering place for thinkers, activists, and cultural and political luminaries, as it has been for decades. As the New York Times reported, three floors of the five-story townhouse on East 73rd Street that Steinem acquired over several years will house Gloria's Foundation as well as an assembly space like the one in which she hosted "talking circles" to discuss social issues of the day.

Justin and Hailey Bieber buy West Village condo for $12M

Justin and Hailey Bieber paid $12 million for a luxury condo at the Herzog & de Meuron-designed 160 Leroy Street in the West Village. As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, the 2,800-square-foot residence is the couple's first known home in New York City. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath condo features sweeping views of the Hudson River. The seller is real estate developer Steven Brauser, who purchased the unit for $10.5 million in 2018 and listed it for $12 million in April.

Bob Dylan’s historic Harlem townhouse sells for $2.8M

A landmarked 1893 Harlem townhouse on Strivers’ Row that was once home to Bob Dylan has sold for $2.8 million after nearly a year on the market. The McKim Mead & White-designed residence at 265 West 139th Street was occupied by the legendary folk singer from 1986 to 2000, when he sold it for $560,000. The home hit the market for $3.7 million in 2017, as 6sqft previously reported, and then for $3 million last July. The five-bedroom home blends 132 years of cultural and architectural history on the iconic tree-lined block with modern upgrades suitable for the 21st-century homeowner.

Pink bought a yellow Greenwich Village townhouse. The pop star paid $21.5 million for the historic six-story home at 125 West 11th Street, as the Wall Street Journal first reported. Built in 1849, the cheerfully painted Greek Revival mansion has served as a haven for artists for over a century, most recently the same family for 70 years. Following a three-year renovation, the roughly 7,900-square-foot home first hit the market for $25 million in 2024 before being reduced by $3.5 million last fall.
