Billy Joel is selling his 26-acre estate on Long Island’s North Shore for $49,000,000. The “Piano Man” bought the first 14 acres of the sprawling property on Oyster Bay Harbor in 2002 for $22,500,000, and has since acquired more parcels of land, piecing together much of an original estate that was split up in the 1950s, as the Wall Street Journal reported.

The property, known as Middlesea, is located on Centre Island within the town of Oyster Bay. The estate is anchored by a 20,000-square-foot main home, which is currently under renovation. The Grammy winner decided to sell the house while work was being done to let the buyer select their own decor styles, listing agent Bonnie Williamson of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, told the WSJ.

According to the newspaper, Joel is “Movin’ Out” of the North Shore estate because he and his wife, Alexis Roderick, are spending more time in Florida.

In addition to the five-bedroom red-brick mansion that boasts 180-degree water views, the property includes a three-bedroom beach house, a three-bedroom guest apartment, a maintenance house, and a four-bedroom gatehouse with an attached three-bedroom apartment.

The grounds include two inground pools, a helipad, a floating dock, a boat ramp on the harbor, and a bowling alley.
