Bethenny Frankel, one of the original cast members of “The Real Housewives of New York City” and founder of Skinnygirl, has just relisted her Soho apartment for $4,375,000, a price chop from the 2017 asking price of $5,250,000 and an optimistic move after listing it as a $13,000/month rental (h/t New York Post). Despite the 17 percent price reduction, Frankel still stands to make a small profit on the unit, which she bought for $4.2 million in 2014. Located on a cobblestone block in the neighborhood’s historic cast-iron district, the residence at 22 Mercer Street is a roomy 2,392-square-foot two-bedroom outfitted with chic designer furnishings.
A long hallway leads you from the entrance to a 25-foot sunken living and dining room with 14-foot ceilings, three triple-paned arched windows, and a wood-burning fireplace. The apartment is the only one in the 16-unit building to have a balcony. Located of the living room, it overlooks Broadway.
A few steps up is the open kitchen, fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances from SubZero, Gaggenau, and Miele. The countertops feature imported marble and you’ll also find a large pantry and two wine refrigerators.
The master bedroom suite features a custom walk-in closet and a luxurious marble bathroom with double vanity sinks, a deep soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower.
The second bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and generous closet space. Though it’s not shown in the listing images, both bedrooms are illuminated by a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass windows from an internal atrium that provides views of a landscaped green wall.
Walnut floors run throughout, while a neutral palette keeps the space feeling large and chic. Additional amenities include sound-proofed windows, multi-zoned central heating and air-conditioning, a washer-dryer, a powder room, and a custom home Crestron system with Sonos and built-in speakers throughout.
