Live in Parker Posey’s former East Village co-op for $2M

Before moving to a very classic Greenwich Village co-op (which she sold last summer for $1.45 million), actress Parker Posey lived in a much more trendy space in the East Village. In fact, she lived in the same building, 119 East 10th Street, as fellow indie darling Chloe Sevigny who sold her pad in 2013. Posey made the move much earlier, in 2008, when she offloaded the loft-like apartment for $1.3 million. It's now back on the market for $2 million, sporting a loft-like vibe (open layout, exposed brick and ceilings beams) and an eclectic collection of hip furniture and art.

After a bidding war, Diane Kruger unloads super-stylish East Village pad for $1.1M

Actress, model, and fashionista Diane Kruger sold her unsurprisingly stylish East Village pad for $1.1 million, higher than the $985,000 listing price. The Post tells us that a 12-offer bidding war ensued, likely due to the myriad of charming features--expansive exposed brick walls, a renovated modern kitchen, and lovely outdoor terrace--and the prime location at 315 East 12th Street, between booming 1st and 2nd Avenues.

Sting’s futuristic-meets-classic 15 Central Park West penthouse hits the market for $56M

British rocker Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have listed their chic duplex at the Robert A.M. Stern-designed 15 Central Park West for $56 million (h/t WSJ). The couple purchased the 16th- and 17th-floor penthouse for about $27 million in 2008, and then enlisted architecture and interior design firm SheltonMindel to combine the units and transform them into a "unique home" that includes two custom sculptural spiral staircases and a double-sided spiral gas fireplace that was inspired by the Fibonacci Spiral. Last summer, the couple was in negotiations to buy another Stern condo at 220 Central Park South, one of NYC's most expensive apartment buildings, and now that they "need more space to accommodate their growing family" the time may be ripe to do so.

Acclaimed novelist Jonathan Safran Foer lists lovely Boerum Hill townhouse for $10.4M

Award-winning novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, author of "Everything Is Illuminated" and "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," has listed his brownstone at 374 Pacific Street in Boerum Hill for $10.4 million, according to Variety. When his first book in ten years, "Here I am," was published last year, the Times referred to it as "often brilliant, always original but sometimes problematic," and though we can't find anything at all problematic about this 1899 Greek Revival residence, the former two accolades certainly apply. It was brilliantly renovated to include a three-story atrium cut through its core and a full rear wall of kitchen windows that overlook the private garden, and it's full of original touches like a charming mix of mid-century-modern and rustic furniture and plenty of built-in bookshelves (of course). Perhaps all of this, plus the fact that there's a separate garden floor apartment, is why Foer thinks he can double his profits after paying $5.4 million for it just a few years ago.

Olympic gold medalist Shaun White lists his East Village penthouse for $2.79M

Snowboarder, skateboarder, and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White is looking to leave his East Village penthouse. The Post reports that the red-headed wonder has just listed his apartment at 425 East 13th Street for $2.79 million—though he also appears to be open to renters, asking $9,500 a month. The glassy pad is a sleek and modern with 1,174 square feet and some nice downtown views, but we can't say it's as extreme as we'd expect from a guy who does back flips on icy halfpipes.

Demi Moore finally sells San Remo penthouse for a much-reduced $45M

It's been exactly two years since Demi Moore first listed her incredible San Remo penthouse for $75 million. But after sitting idly on the market for 14 months, she reduced the price way down to $59 million, and The Real Deal now got wind that she's finally sold the 17-room triplex for an even more reduced $45 million. Despite the major price chop, this is still the biggest sale ever at the iconic Central Park West co-op.

NBC News anchor Lester Holt lists classy Nomad apartment for $6.6M

There's no "debating" that NBC Nightly News and Dateline NBC anchor Lester Holt has good taste in real estate, as evidenced by the listing photos for his classy Nomad apartment. The fact that his wife, Carol Hagen-Holt, is one of the listing brokers probably doesn't hurt either. The Observer first noticed that the couple put the three-bedroom spread at 225 Fifth Avenue on the market for $6.6 million, a far cry from the $3.3 million they bought it for in 2007. It boasts views of Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building, a private terrace, and a sumptuous mix of furnishings and decor.

David Schwimmer checks out a $3.3M boutique condo in the East Village as a potential investment

Newly single David Schwimmer was seen checking out a $3.3 million apartment in the East Village's boutique condo building 64 East 1st Street. While bachelor pad initially comes to mind, a spokesperson for the actor told the Post, "He is always looking at interesting investment opportunities in New York." Schwimmer is not necessarily a welcome neighbor, however; in 2010 he bought a 19th-century townhouse on Tompkins Square Park (one of the oldest on the block) for $4.1 million, but the following year he destroyed it after the Landmarks Preservation Commission told him it was headed for landmark designation.

Supermodel and philanthropist Petra Němcová sells $3M Tribeca condo with huge terrace

Supermodel Petra Němcová first hit it big in 2003 when she appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, but the very next year she made headlines for a very different reason when she survived the Indian Ocean tsunami after holding onto a palm tree branch for eight hours. This inspired her to found the Happy Hearts Fund, which rebuilds schools in areas hit by natural disaster. The nonprofit is headquartered in Hudson Square, so it makes sense that Němcová has been living nearby at 200 Chambers Street in Tribeca. She listed the striking corner unit, which has one of the building's largest private terraces, for $3.5 million in 2016, but the Post now tells us that after a recent price chop to $2,995,000 it's found a buyer.

Rosie O’Donnell checks out $5.75M mod co-op on the Upper West Side

It's been two-and-a-half years since Rosie O'Donnell sold her chic Greenwich Village penthouse for $9 million, presumably spending more time at her other home in Nyack. But it looks like she's ready to move back to NYC, as the Post says that she's been house hunting on the Upper West Side. O'Donnell reportedly checked out a $5.75 million spread at the historic artist co-op 27 West 67th Street--part of the West 67th Street Artists’ Colony History District. The ultra-mod duplex is currently owned by internationally famed artist Abby Leigh, whose late husband was Tony-winning “Man of La Mancha” composer Mitch Leigh.

Tom Brady and Gisele looking to upgrade apartments at 70 Vestry Street

With deflatgate behind him and another Super Bowl win under his belt, Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady is looking to upgrade apartments. The Post reports that he and supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen may be trading up from the 11th floor spread at Tribeca's 70 Vestry Street they bought for $20 million in August to a $35 million unit on the floor above. Why? The speculation is that Brady wants to be on floor 12, the same number as his jersey. Perhaps it's pure ego or superstition since his jersey was recently stolen after the big game. Either way, the Robert A.M. Stern-designed building won't be complete until next year, so the power couple has some time to make a final Hail Mary.

Tyra Banks’ enormous Battery Park City duplex hits the market for $17.5M

Two years ago, Tyra Banks put her gigantic Battery Park City pad on the rental market for $50,000 a month, but the Times now reports that she's decided to part ways with it completely, listing the 7,000-square-foot Riverhouse duplex for $17.5 million. Banks, who welcomed her first child last year, is spending most of her time at her homes in Los Angeles and Northern California since her new makeup line is headquartered in LA and both of her hosting gigs--for “America’s Got Talent” and “America’s Next Top Model”--also film there. She did, however, tell the Times that she'll miss "the feeling of having a home in the sky."

Mikhail Baryshnikov, who fled the Soviet Union in 1974 and landed in Canada is today considered one of the greatest ballet dancers in history (closer to home, he also starred in "Sex and the City" as Sarah Jessica Parker's penultimate love interest). Nearly six years ago, he and his wife, former ballerina Lisa Rinehart, relocated to Harlem from the posh upstate enclave Snedens Landing, and they're clearly happy with this move, as they also recently bought a $1.4 million condo at the Strathmore, located at 1890 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (h/t NY Post). Greta Garbo’s exclusive East Side co-op hits the market for the first time in 64 years, asking $6M

For the first time in decades, an apartment in The Campanile, an exclusive co-op building in the Beekman/Sutton Place neighborhood, is for sale. As the New York Times reports, the sprawling fifth-floor home belonged to Greta Garbo, the late Hollywood screen icon, and hit the market this week at an asking price of $5.95 million, in an all-cash offer. Garbo bought 2,855-square-foot, three-bedroom residence in 1953 and lived there until her death in 1990, enjoying its private location and the fact that it was "very reminiscent of where she grew up in Stockholm — close to the water and with lots of sunlight," said her great-nephew Derek Reisfield. But with the apartment now largely vacant, her family has decided to sell.
