‘Sex and the City’ Writer Candace Bushnell Puts Village Co-op Back on the Market for $2.6M

If we had to assign this Greenwich Village apartment to one of the "Sex and the City" gals it would have to be Charlotte for its classic and elegant design. But, in reality, it's home to Candace Bushnell, the woman who wrote the newspaper column and book that inspired the world-famous show. The one-bedroom co-op at 45 East 9th Street was featured in Elle Decor in 2010 as a much more colorful and playful home. Two years later–following her divorce from New York City Ballet dancer Charles Askegard–she listed the place for $2.8 million and then as an $8,000/month rental. Now, three years later, the Observer reports that the listing is back with a very slight slight price chop to $2 million and its new formal look.

James Gandolfini’s Former Village Apartment Listed for $21,000/Month

The late James Gandolfini once shared a West Village apartment with his ex-wife Marcy Wudarski Gandolfini, whom he was married to from 1999 to 2002. Several years before splitting, the couple bought two adjacent units in 99 Jane Street–first an $850,000 unit and then a $1 million unit. They combined them into one large four-bedroom pad, but when they split, Wudarski kept the home, and Gandolfini went on to marry wife Deborah Line in 2008 (they were married up until his untimely death in 2013). Now, Wudarski has listed the apartment for $21,000 a month, according to the Daily News.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid Lists Mod Nolita Pad for $2.45M

You've probably seen Gigi Hadid's face plastered across town on Guess or Maybelline billboards, or maybe if you're a "Real Housewives" junkie you'll recognize her from the Beverly Hills franchise, as she's the daughter of the show's Yolanda Foster. After moving to NYC to attend the New School, she bought an ultra-modern apartment at 250 Bowery last year for $1.92 million, through a trust in her mother's name. The duo's time decorating the home was featured on the "Real Housewives" show, and it was definitely worlds away from the typical Bed, Bath and Beyond sophomore-year shopping. Now, after reportedly checking out a $3 million Lower East Side condo at 100 Norfolk Street (and getting together with Joe Jonas), Hadid has listed her Nolita apartment for a cool $2.45 million, according to the Daily News.

Rent Topher Grace’s Stylish West Village Loft for $16,000

Actor Topher Grace of "That '70s Show" fame is shaking up his real estate game. After selling his Los Angeles home for $1.69 million, he's now looking to rent out his stylish West Village condo, according to the Daily News. This also comes on the heels of Grace's recent engagement to actress and model Ashley Hinshaw. He bought the two-bedroom, full-floor loft at 59 Bank Street for $2.2 million in 2006, but has been renting it out over the past several years, starting at $14,000 in 2011 and now going for $16,000.

Katie Holmes and Suri Renting a $25,000 Penthouse in Chelsea

Katie Holmes loves Chelsea. The Post reports that the actress has taken up residence in a sparkling new penthouse at 201 West 17th Street, paying $25,000 a month for the luxurious digs. Back in 2012, Holmes and daughter Suri called a $12,500-a-month rental at the Chelsea Mercantile their refuge while the actress took steps towards divorcing then-husband Tom Cruise. Although Holmes' new penthouse doesn't come with a secret entrance to Whole Foods, the picture perfect pad definitely makes up for the lack of organics with its stunning views and ample outdoor space.

Royal Letdown: Queen Elizabeth Actually Won’t Be Coming to NYC

A few weeks ago, various media outlets reported that Queen Elizabeth had bought a $7.9 million apartment at 50 United Nations Plaza. City records listed the buyer of the three-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot residence as “Her Majesty the Queen in Right of New Zealand.” But as the Post informs us today, the royal family will not be taking up residence in NYC after all, as the actual buyer is the New Zealand government’s UN ambassador.

Heidi Klum Settles on a $70K/Month West Village Rental for the Summer

It was recently reported that Heidi Klum was eyeing this 3.5-acre $11 million private island off Manhattan as her next retreat, but it looks like the supermodel has decided to slum it in the West Village instead. The Post reports that Klum will be renting out a 7,200-square-foot Bob and Cortney Novogratz creation located at 400 West Street through the summer. The home is not an unfamiliar spot for the model who has shot hoops, hot tubbed, and made pizza at the glamorous property when she rented it in previous years.

Cute Cobble Hill Condo with Fun Pops of Pink Asks $800k

The listing calls this 800-square-foot condo a studio, but given its spacious duplex layout, we think it functions more like a one-bedroom. Located at 473 Hicks Street in Cobble Hill, the apartment puts a contemporary spin on its classic bones. The huge, geometric bookshelves, translucent kitchen stools, and funky bedroom wallpaper all elevate the home from a boring box to a designer-worthy pad. But what especially draws us in is the subtle use of pink, which doesn't read girly, but rather sophisticated and fun.

Designer and Art Writer Sue Hostetler Finally Sells Four-Story Alphabet City Condo for $7M

Six years ago, designer and art writer Sue Hostetler (she's the Editor-in-Chief of Art Basel Magazine) built a modern six-story townhouse at 238 East 4th Street. She and her husband, media executive Jon Diamond, decided they'd occupy the first four floors, while selling off the two-story penthouse. The Alphabet City location raised some eyebrows at the time, but before long, celebrity husband-and-wife design team Bob and Cortney Novogratz were tapped to design the upper condo, which sold for $5 million to Oscar Proust and Colleen Goujjane, owners of the well-known West Village restaurant One If By Land, Two If By Sea. But despite creating her dream home from the ground up, and even installing a paparazzi shield on the one-car garage, Hostetler first put her massive home on the market in 2012 for $8.5 million. Rachel Weisz and Danielle Craig checked it out at the time, but it's been struggling on the market for three years, including an attempt at selling the entire building for $12.4 million. Now, according to city records released today, the 6,500-square-foot residence has sold for $6,995,000, and the buyer is, quite appropriately, light and interactive sculptor Jen Lewin.

Michelle Williams Buys Colonial Revival Mansion in Prospect Park South That Needs a Little TLC

Actress Michelle Williams is clearly a fan of big, beautiful Brooklyn houses. 6sqft got the scoop back in September that she was listing her lovely Boerum Hill townhouse for $7.5 million. The ivy-covered, corner-lot home came complete with a three-car garage and more space than is usual for the neighborhood. Likely for these reasons, she sold the house for well over the asking price ($8.8 million to be exact), just two months later. And after keeping us in suspense for seven long months as to where she and nine-year-old daughter Matilda would move, Ditmas Park Corner revealed today that Williams purchased an historic Colonial Revival-style home in Prospect Park South. Last listed for $2.45 million, the eight-bedroom home at 1440 Albemarle Road is referred to as "The Tara of Prospect Park South" in the listing. It boasts a two-story front porch with fluted Ionic columns, dormer windows, eight fireplaces, and leaded and stained glass windows. The landmarked house is definitely in need of some TLC, but that shouldn't be a problem for Williams, as she told a neighbor "I love living somewhere that feels like the suburbs but is next to an express train."

Chris Meloni of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Fame Tries Again to Unload Park Imperial Condo

Everyone's favorite "Law & Order" hunk is looking to ditch NYC for good. Christopher Meloni left the incredibly popular television show in 2011 after a 12-year run, relocating with his family to a home in the Hollywood Hills. The following year, he put his 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom Park Imperial condo on the market for $12 million, but after failing to get the asking price, he settled on renting it out for the past several years. Now it's back, asking a significantly reduced $8.95 million (he bought the Midtown West pad for $5.45 million back in 2005), reports the Wall Street Journal.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen List Their Stylish Nolita Pad for $4.5M

Celebrity power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are selling their Glory-ous Nolita pad, which appeared on the cover of Architectural Digest last year, reports The Real Deal. They bought the super-stylish apartment at 374 Broome Street (known as the Brewster Carriage House) in 2012 for $2.5 million, after selling their East Village condo at 52 East 4th Street for $2.7 million. They're now looking to make a nice profit, listing the property for $4.5 millon. The news comes from broker Jason Walker, who recently left Douglas Elliman after ten years and more than $1 billion in sales to head over to Compass. He's represented Legend in both of the aforementioned real estate transactions, as well as a previous $1 million buy for the Grammy-winner at 72 East 3rd Street. The latest sale comes on the heels of recent remarks from Teigen that she wants to start a family and have lots of kids, notes the Daily News.

After Selling 190 Bowery, Photographer Jay Maisel Buys Record-Breaking Cobble Hill Townhouse

If you've been following the saga of 190 Bowery, the former Germania Bank Building turned private mansion, you know that photographer Jay Maisel sold it to developer Aby Rosen of RFR Realty for $55 million back in February (he paid just $102,000 for it in 1966). Since that time, it's been all eyes on Rosen. Is he removing or preserving that iconic graffiti? What the heck happened with that "public" art show inside the building? But what about Maisel? Well, he certainly made out well, swapping one mansion for another. The Times reports that he is the buyer of the $15.5 million brick carriage house at 177 Pacific Street in Cobble Hill, the most expensive single residence ever sold in Brooklyn. He did downsize a bit, though. As Curbed notes, 190 Bowery was 37,000 square feet, while his new townhouse is 10,000.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Make a Sale on Their Meatpacking Apartment

A mere five months after putting their Meatpacking District pad on the market, Olivia Wilde and husband Jason Sudeikis have made a sale. The unit at 66 Ninth Avenue was originally listed for $3.995 million in January, selling at a slight discount at $3.8 million according to the Post. The condo is a pretty simple construction with two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, big windows, hardwood floors and new appliances—a great "starter home" the pair probably called it. Wilde and Sudeikis, who have a baby boy, high-tailed it to Clinton Hill earlier this year in search of more greenery, more space and far fewer folks stumbling drunk across their streets in stiletto heels and Italian loafers.

Winston Marshall, Banjoist for Mumford & Sons, Buys $3.2M Nolita Pad

Fresh off the release of their third album, and in the midst of a national tour, Mumford & Sons has laid down some roots in NYC. Banjoist for the band Winston A. Marshall has picked up an impressive Nolita apartment at 237 Lafayette Street for $3.2 million, according to city records released today. The sprawling, 2,000-square-foot, three-bedroom co-op definitely has room for the entire band to crash, and its charming downtown loft vibe will certainly impress any love interests (ahem, Katy Perry).

Jon Bon Jovi Unloads His Mercer Street Penthouse for $34M

It's official, rocker Jon Bon Jovi is now free of the 158 Mercer Street digs he's been trying to unload for the past for two years. First reported by The Real Deal, city records filed this afternoon show that the home traded hands for a whopping $34 million; although at first this seems like a pretty penny, it's actually way down from its original ask of $42 million. The buyer is Austrian-American businessman and investor Gerhard Andlinger, who previously called a sprawling 8,300-square-footer at the Time Warner Center his home.

Ben Affleck Spotted Checking Out a $25M Time Warner Center Condo

Amidst rumors that Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner are heading to splitsville, the Post now reports that Affleck is on the hunt for a NYC pad. The actor was spotted scoping out a duplex condo at the Time Warner Center at 25 Columbus Circle, currently priced at $24.995 million. The home was originally listed at $50 million last year, the Post writes, then popping back on the market early in January at almost half the price at $28 million. With 3,582 square feet at his disposal, this sprawling unit most definitely offers more than enough room for the actor and family to stretch out in, plus or minus Garner.

Isabella Rossellini Buys a Lincoln Square One-Bedroom for $1.3M

While the Lincoln Square location of Isabella Rossellini's new condo matches up with her larger-than-life theatrical personality, we're hard pressed to see what exactly about this simple one-bedroom at the Element drew her in. According to city records filed yesterday afternoon, the famed actress has scooped up the apartment with private terrace for $1.275 million, which, based on our best guess, will serve as a pied-a-terre of sorts for Rossellini, who spends most of her days on her farm in Bellport, Long Island.

Sources Say Saudi Billionaire Is Buyer of $95M Penthouse at 432 Park

The Real Deal reports that Saudi billionaire and retail magnate Fawaz Al Hokair is the buyer of the $95 million penthouse at 432 Park, the city's current tallest residential building. The unit went into contract in 2013 for roughly $11,500 per square foot, but sources are just now coming out with his identity. Al Hokair is the founder and chairman of Fawaz Alhokair Group, the most valuable retail and real estate company in Saudi Arabia. Forbes estimates the company is worth $22 billion, and that Al Hokair's net worth is $1.37 billion. When the deal closes it will be the second most expensive condo sale ever in the city, stealing the title from Bill Ackman's $91.5 million buy at One57 and following only behind the $100 million penthouse sale, also at One57.

‘Girls’ Star Zosia Mamet Buys Unimpressive Upper West Side Co-op for $1.2M

When we took a look at the real estate of the stars of "Girls," we said the characters "live in Greenpoint, not the Upper West Side." The same cannot be said for their real-life digs, as evidenced by Zosia Mamet's (she plays Shoshanna on the hit show) purchase of a pretty bland Upper West Side co-op. According to city records released today, she paid $1,225,000 for the two-bedroom apartment at 522 West End Avenue. We knew she was looking to relocate–she and her boyfriend listed their Bushwick house back in October, and it recently sold–but we can't deny that we're a little surprised by her choice.
