A new double-decker Christmas carousel is coming to Greeley Square later this month, adding to Midtown’s festive holiday atmosphere. Hosted by the 34th Street Partnership, the Christmas Carousel will open at 33rd Street and Broadway and run from November 21 through January 6, 2026. The ride is steps from Macy’s Herald Square, which recently opened its holiday markets for the season.
The only one of its kind in New York City, the carousel will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $7 per ride and can be purchased here.

Meanwhile, Macy’s Holiday Square has returned to the lower level of its Herald Square store, offering a festive “one-stop shop” for all things holiday. Visitors can browse goods from more than 30 vendors, including bubble tea from Tea and Milk, doughnuts from Donut Plant, chocolate from No Chewing Allowed!, and cupcakes from Cup Sakes.

Guests can also shop for ornaments, jewelry, accessories, and other gifts from Uncommon Goods, Feste, Little Words Project, and more. The indoor holiday market is open through January 3, 2026.
Outside, Macy’s open-air market, hosted by Urbanspace, is now operating on Broadway between 35th and 36th Streets.
On December 3, it will shift to Broadway between 32nd and 33rd Streets and 34th and 35th Streets. The outdoor market features vendors such as Breezy Hill Orchard, Doughnuttery, Gabriella Cabellos, Meza Studios, and more.
