This duplex at 50 3rd Avenue in Boerum Hill definitely looks like it could’ve been designed by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Though we’re pretty sure they didn’t travel to Brooklyn to design this two-bedroom condo, it has plenty of their famous “modern farmhouse” design elements, most notably reclaimed wood on the walls and ceiling. The aesthetic is carried over to the backyard, where twinkly lights and climbing vines set the stage for a true outdoor oasis. The apartment has just listed for $1,474,000.

The condo spans 1,459 square feet inside and 355 square feet outside. On the upper entry level, the living spaces are completely open but still delineated by their function. The corner dining area is flanked with built-in wooden bookcases, and a reclaimed dining table and bench complete the vibe.

The kitchen is decidedly more modern, with stainless-steel appliances and custom cabinetry. However, wooden ceilings, industrial light fixtures, and brass hardware bridge the gap with the rest of the space.

Also on this floor are a full bathroom, laundry closet, and large bedroom with two closets and an en-suite bathroom.

Down the staircase–which was handcrafted from 200-year-old, reclaimed oak–is what the listing calls the recreation room. It’s currently configured as the master bedroom (though there’s no bathroom on this floor) and a home office. There’s tons of closet space here, and it’s where the doors to the backyard are.

As the listing says, “just outside is a serene, expansive private backyard patio, a perfect place for a summer BBQ, a morning coffee, or a simple weeknight dinner under the stars.”

The building has a total of 15 units and offers residents a bike room, a communal outdoor patio, and a shared roof deck with Manhattan views. It’s just a couple blocks away from all the train lines at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, as well as all the restaurants along Flatbush and 5th Avenues.
