John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s $18M Nolita home finds buyer

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have sold their two penthouses in Nolita, CityRealty first reported. The over 6,100-square-foot, six-bedroom spread is located at 374 Broome Street, a landmarked six-story former carriage house converted in 2005 into a nine-unit condominium. The couple listed the two apartments, which occupy the full sixth floor and half of the fifth floor, in January for $18 million.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are selling their two penthouses in Nolita for $18 million, the Wall Street Journal first reported. The couple purchased a $9 million unit in 2018 followed by a $7.7 million penthouse in 2020 in the six-story Brewster Carriage House at 374 Broome Street. The A-list duo told the WSJ they wanted to combine the two apartments into one but never did.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have picked up a second penthouse apartment at their Nolita building. As the Real Deal first reported, the power couple paid $7.7 million for a three-bedroom at the landmarked Brewster Carriage House at 374 Broome Street, joining the $9 million pad bought by the duo in 2018. They seem to really like the building; Legend and Teigen also lived in a one-bedroom unit at the building until they sold it in 2016 for $4 million.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen pick up the penthouse in their former Nolita building for $9M

Power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have bought a $9 million penthouse apartment at 374 Broome Street in the same Nolita building they once lived. The duo, who first toured the three-bedroom penthouse in December, sold their former one-bedroom unit for $4 million in August 2016. John and Chrissy, who recently welcomed a baby son Miles, will get more space with the loft, which measures 2,610 square feet and includes a private rooftop terrace. According to The Real Deal, who first reported the sale, the seller is Matthew Swann, a Stubhub executive who bought the apartment for $8.6 million in 2016.

The superstar duo, now expecting their second child, is in need of more space, and the loft measures 2,610 square feet and includes three bedrooms and a huge rooftop terrace.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen sell stylish Nolita pad for $4M

It's been 16 months since John Legend and Chrissy Teigen listed their uber-stylish Nolita loft for $4.5 million, and four months since they welcomed their baby daughter Luna into the world, and now the power couple is free to find a new family-friendly home as the Observer reports that their apartment has sold for $3.995 million. The couple purchased the apartment in 2012 for $2.5 million after selling their East Village condo at 52 East 4th Street for $2.7 million. They enlisted Don Stewart of Los Angeles–based firm Desiderata Design to complete the "dark, moody atmosphere," which is an attractive combo of cozy, industrial, and eclectic. Some of the unique design elements, in addition to the requisite piano nook, are a reclaimed wood wall, an Asian-inspired green silk bed spread, and a 19th century gilded leather screen on a bedroom wall.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen List Their Stylish Nolita Pad for $4.5M

Celebrity power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are selling their Glory-ous Nolita pad, which appeared on the cover of Architectural Digest last year, reports The Real Deal. They bought the super-stylish apartment at 374 Broome Street (known as the Brewster Carriage House) in 2012 for $2.5 million, after selling their East Village condo at 52 East 4th Street for $2.7 million. They're now looking to make a nice profit, listing the property for $4.5 millon. The news comes from broker Jason Walker, who recently left Douglas Elliman after ten years and more than $1 billion in sales to head over to Compass. He's represented Legend in both of the aforementioned real estate transactions, as well as a previous $1 million buy for the Grammy-winner at 72 East 3rd Street. The latest sale comes on the heels of recent remarks from Teigen that she wants to start a family and have lots of kids, notes the Daily News.
