Treat your sweetie (or yourself) to a chocolate tour of Brooklyn this Valentine’s Day

February 7, 2018

This Valentine’s Day, leave the heart-shaped candy box at Duane Reade and enjoy locally-made chocolate instead. Explore Brooklyn released their “Brooklyn Chocolate Trail Map” this month with 12 must-eat delicious destinations in the borough. The list includes chocolatiers, factories and tasting rooms. Follow the chocolate trail and taste-test your way through Greenpoint, DUMBO, Williamsburg and Downtown Brooklyn. What could be sweeter?

This tour is made for all different types of chocolate tastebuds. At Raaka Chocolate and Fine & Raw, sample chocolate that starts out as a minimally-processed cocoa bean. Both places are even offering behind-the-scenes tours of the “bean-to-bar” process.

Favorite chocolatiers like Li-Lac Chocolates, JoMart and Liddabit Sweets offer up unique chocolate-covered creations, including 3D-art and chocolate covered fruit and snacks. And head to Cacao Market and Chocolate Works for more traditional chocolate gifts, like truffles and heart-shaped candies. Be sure to personalize your chocolate gifts with pretty wrapping, prints and sweet messages.
