Sean Lennon

Celebrities, Greenwich Village

Back in September, after a 19-month legal battle, John and Yoko Ono‘s son Sean was ordered by a Manhattan judge to remove a tree on his Greenwich Village property at 153 West 13th Street after neighbors Gary and Addie Tomei (parents of actress Marisa Tomei) claimed it spread roots on their property, “cracking the stoop, breaking the railings, and coming through the basement floor of their townhouse,” as 6sqft explained. The Post now reports that Lennon has finally settled on the $10 million suit and removed the pesky tree.

Celebrities, Greenwich Village

After 19 months of finger pointing and contentious legal battles, Sean Lennon (son of John and Yoko) has been ordered by a Manhattan judge to remove a tree on his Greenwich Village property at 153 West 13th Street after being sued by neighbors Gary and Addie Tomei (parents of actress Marisa Tomei).

As 6sqft previously recounted, the Tomeis claimed the tree had spread its roots onto their property, cracking the stoop, breaking the railings, and coming through the basement floor of their townhouse. Though they also asked for $10 million in damages, it looks like the judge didn’t move on that part of the suit, though she did quote Beatles lyrics in her ruling.

What’d she say?

Sean Lennon Tree, 155 West 13th Street, Gary Tomei

Well, at least that’s what one disgruntled Greenwich Village neighbor is hoping. Gary and Addie Tomei, parents of actress Marisa Tomei, have filed a lawsuit against next-door neighbor Sean Lennon, son of John and Yoko, alleging that a tree on his property (153 West 13th Street) has spread its roots onto their property (155 West 13th Street), cracking the stoop, breaking the railings, and coming through the basement floor of their townhouse. Sure, they want Lennon to chop the tree down, but they also want $10 million, according to the Post.
