Roughly a year and a half after it was first listed, Meryl Streep has sold her Tribeca penthouse for $15.8 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. Located in the waterfront River Lofts condominium, the 4,000-square-foot residence has four bedrooms and a landscaped terrace that wraps around three sides of the penthouse. The revered Oscar winner bought the home with her husband, Donald Gummer, for $10.13 million in 2006. It was initially listed for $24.6 million in the summer of 2018. Following a broker switch, the price was slashed to $18.25 million, and it was relisted last August. Listing agent Juliette Janssens of Sotheby’s International Realty—who held the most recent listing with Allison Koffman—told the Journal that despite selling for 36 percent less than the original asking price, the final sale still reflects a “very strong number” for today’s market.

According to Curbed, the three-time Academy Award-winner and her husband, Donald Gummer, bought the four-bedroom apartment in 2006 for $10 million, and they’ve now decided to sell it after buying a mid-century-modern home in Pasadena last December. Though Streep has designed the interiors impeccably, with a laid-back coastal vibe and contemporary art collection, what really sets this residence apart is the 10-foot-wide landscaped terrace that wraps around three sides of the penthouse.

Last month’s price chop and new listing photos certainly did the trick–Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin have finally found a buyer for their Tribeca penthouse at 416 Washington Street. The consciously uncoupled pair bought the apartment as a pied-a-terre in 2007 for $5.1 million, but after going their separate ways, listed it last March for $14.25 million. Gwynie then reduced the price to $12.85 million in November and again to $9,995,000 last month. Now, Mansion Global reports that it’s gone into contract, though until it hits public records there’s no word on who the lucky buyer is and whether or not they’ll retain the “ethereal” interiors and fuzzy nap zones.

She first listed the pad at 416 Washington Street last March for $14.25 million; after chopping the price to $12.85 million in November, she self-published a few images on Goop; but now that it’s taken a third cut to $9,995,000, it looks like Gwynie is loosening up. LL NYC first spotted the new listing with Compass, which now has plenty of views, from the famous fuzzy nap zones, to the living room swing made of an antique Indoor door, to endless swaths of white marble and ethereal hand-painted wall coverings.

The 4,400 square-foot penthouse at the River Lofts at 416 Washington Street in Tribeca that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin kept as a Manhattan landing spot before their conscious uncoupling has yet to find a buyer. The New York Post reminds us that Gwynnie’s loft is still available, along with the 1,900 square foot apartment downstairs owned by restaurateur Reika Yo Alexander (her EN Japanese Brasserie is a celebrity fave, and fashion luminaries like Karl Lagerfeld and Alexander Wang have hosted events at the chic Izakaya), and that the two units might be consciously coupled in a stellar package deal.

When 6sqft wrote about Gwyneth Paltrow’s $14.25 million Tribeca penthouse, listed in March, the only interior photos available were slightly blurry, outdated versions from the designer Roman and Williams. But now, perhaps in an attempt to unload the 4,400-square-foot loft (she also reduced the price to $12.85 million), Gwyneth herself has published beautiful images of the home on her blog Goop. First spotted by Time, they showcase the space’s famous fuzzy nap zones, as well as “artisanal” details like a swing in the living room made of an antique Indian door and a master bed “so enormous that sheets had to be custom-made.”
