Located in the massive four-building Parc Vendome condominium complex that spans nearly a full city block in Midtown West, this designer-renovated home at 340 West 57th Street is worthy of any hyperbole bestowed upon it. On the 14th floor, with the pre-war building’s highest ceilings (according to the listing) that reach 16 feet, this 1,165-square-foot, one-bedroom home is dressed to impress and asking $2,395,000.

333 West 56th Street, Parc Vendome, Cool Listings, Clinton, Hells Kitchen, Midtown, Midtown West, West Midtown, Rentals, Manhattan apartments for rent, co-op,

For old-world Manhattan living it would be hard to argue with the Parc Vendome, from its award-winning formal English tea gardens to graciously-configured apartments—like this 2,000 square-foot, two-bed-plus-office beauty—with wood-burning fireplaces, entry galleries and capacious closets. Built in 1931, the elegant two-building complex at 333 West 56th Street was converted to condominium apartments in 1983. In addition to space and charm and a fortunate location blocks from both Lincoln Center and Central Park, you’ll have an impossibly lovely south-facing private terrace and open city views, all for $10K a month (gas and electric are included).

353 West 56th Street, Parc Vendome, Christina Hendricks

We don’t think the uber-chic, ever-polished Joan Harris would approve of this pretty basic, slightly cluttered midtown apartment that her real-life counterpart Christina Hendricks just picked up, but seeing that the actress is so well known for her timeless fashion sense, we think she’ll turn it into her very own glam pad in no time.

The Daily News reports that Hendricks and her husband, actor Geoffrey Arend, bought the one-bedroom unit at the Parc Vendome at 353 West 56th Street for $1.16 million. The timing makes sense, as “Mad Men,” which films in Los Angeles, is airing its series finale in just a couple weeks.
