Live in a Dattner Architects-designed affordable rental in the South Bronx, from $864/month

In a partnership between L&M Development and B&S Supportive Services for the Underserved, a new 12-story affordable housing project is now accepting applications for 88 units at 294 East 162nd Street. Designed by Dattner Architects, the South Bronx building, called East 162nd Street Court, offers 126 mixed-income rental apartments, with 37 reserved for formerly homeless families. The remaining units available will be set aside for New Yorkers earning 60 and 80 percent of the area median income for units ranging from an $864 per month studio to a $1,829 three-bedroom.

Housing Lottery Launches for Greenpoint Landing’s 33 Eagle Street, Rents Start at $494

Greenpoint Landing's third affordable housing building has kicked off its lottery process. The ground-up seven-story building at 33 Eagle Street will provide 97 newly constructed rental apartments priced well below market-rate rents. The 24 studios will be priced from $494 to $1,463 per month for annual household earnings ranging from $18,275 to $78,650. Its 29 one-bedrooms, designated for either one or two-person households, have rents ranging from $532 to $1,840 for household incomes from $19,612 to $78,650. And lastly, the building's 49 two-bedrooms are priced between $647 and $2,216, based on household sizes ranging from two to four persons with income ranges from $23,589 to $112,190 per year.

Apply for a $641/Month Apartment in Central Harlem Starting Thursday

The latest in a rush of housing lottery kick offs is happening on Thursday at 260 West 153rd Street in Central Harlem, according to the NYC HDC. The brand new building is courtesy of affordable housing gurus L&M Development (who are also behind 149 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, where a lottery is launching tomorrow). Of its 51 apartments, 34 are set aside for low-income residents earning between $23,349 and $43,150 annually. Rents will range from $641/month studios to $836/month two bedrooms.

Live in Trendy Williamsburg for $563/Month, Lottery Launching for 149 Kent Apartments

Williamsburg became unaffordable a long time ago, but if you're still looking to get in on the trendy Brooklyn action, this may be your chance. According to the NYC HDC, the affordable housing lottery for 149 Kent Avenue will launch on Wednesday, giving those who meet the income requirements a shot at 33 brand-new apartments ranging from $563/month studios to $926/month two-bedroom units. And they're just two blocks away from East River State Park (aka the home to Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg).
