Marilyn Monroe may not have been very open at the time about her mental health struggles, but they’ve since been documented through diary entries and letters she’d written. As Vanity Fair noted, in the mid-1950s, Monroe saw a psychiatrist, Dr. Margaret Hohenberg, on the recommendation of her acting coach Lee Strasburg.
