Once a working farm, this Arts & Crafts home sits on a 2.2-acre property that abuts a deeded horse preserve in the Historic District of East Moriches, Long Island. Asking $1.2 million, the home blends vintage details like quality craftsmanship, wood and glass details, and a classic floor plan with modern amenities like a renovated gourmet kitchen, central air, and a new master bath. And the charm extends, too, with rolling gardens, a heated barn, and even a koi pond.
Just six months ago, “Real Housewives of New York City” star and Skinny Girl maven Bethenny Frankel bought her second home in the Hamptons, a huge and historic Bridgehampton spread at 2623 Montauk Highway. The 4,200-square-foot home, a former bed-and-breakfast known as the Morning Glory House, cost her $2,037,000, but she merely made the purchase as an investment, keeping her Bridgehampton residence as her main home. And now she’s looking to cash in, as Curbed Hamptons reports that Frankel has re-listed the property for $2,995,000.
Property in Montauk–where billionaires live in trailer parks–just isn’t like other places. For example, this windmill house was built in 1928 by Arthur W. B. Wood, an architect who was enamored of–you guessed it–windmills. Though the windmill that’s part of the six-bedroom home at 162 Fairview Avenue isn’t a real, functional windmill, it is the only windmill house in Montauk. And it’s currently on the market for $1.9 million.

Haven’t planned a summer vacation yet and have $55,000 floating around? Then consider renting this East Hampton windmill home, a unique abode once leased in 1957 by Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller. The charming two-bedroom, one-bathroom house measures 1,100 square feet across three floors. The windmill home, located in the historic Amagansett neighborhood, is currently only available for the entire summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and year-round for $68,000 (h/t Curbed Hamptons).
Bernie Madoff’s former Montauk home, seized by authorities in 2009 after the disgraced investor’s Ponzi scheme fell apart, has hit the market for $21 million. The current owners of 216 Old Montauk Highway, Steven Roth, the chair of Vornado Realty Trust, and his wife Daryl, a producer for Broadway, picked up the 3,000-square-foot home in 2009 for $9.41 million. Tapping renowned designer Thierry Despont, the couple totally renovated the three-bedroom, ocean-front home, according to the Wall Street Journal. The house sits far from the road at the end of a long gated driveway and boasts a private path to the beach.
Former NBC anchor Matt Lauer seems to be having trouble selling his “spare” Sag Harbor house–one of three Hamptons homes he owns with his likely soon-to-be ex-wife Annette Roque–which the disgraced ex-“Today Show” co-host is currently listing at $12.75 million, according to the Observer. Lauer first listed the 25-acre estate at 2301 Deerfield Road for $18 million in July of 2016. The asking price was shaved by $1 million that September, and then again in June 2017 to $14.9 million. The 8,000-square-foot, six-bedroom shingle-style house comes with a huge gunite pool and pool house, tennis court and gorgeous landscaped grounds and was designed by architect Daniel Romualdez with interiors by Muriel Brandolini; but the answer still seems to be no, thanks.

Supermodel Christie Brinkley recently picked up a penthouse in Tribeca for $29,500 per month while two of her Hamptons estates are still on the market. The gorgeous 3,000-square-foot apartment at 475 Greenwich Street boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, two terraces and incredible views of the Hudson River. Although Brinkley has called the Hamptons home for decades, one of her Sag Harbor estates is currently listed for $20 million and another, a little further down, for $29.5 million, as Variety reported.
Actress Ali Wentworth and her husband George Stephanopoulos, a political reporter and co-anchor of Good Morning America, have listed their impressive, gated estate in Southampton for $5.995 million. The home at 5 Cameron Way sits on over an acre of land just off Hill Street. According to Curbed Hamptons, the power couple first purchased the sprawling estate for $4.5 million in 2013. A year later, they also picked up a Lennox Hill co-op for $2.2 million.
A star-studded mansion in the Hamptons described as the embodiment of a “Gatsby era estate,” has hit the market for $15.99 million. While many celebrities have partied at this sprawling eight bedroom, 11.5 bathroom pad, Beyoncé and Jay-Z might rank as the home’s most famous renters. The celebrity duo rented the mansion at 30 Wainscott Stone Highway, called “Goose Creek,” in 2012, paying $400,000 to spend the month of August there and film a music video. According to Mansion Global, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna have also rented the home at one point.

Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director who President Donald Trump fired before he even started his job, might be having more luck in real estate than in politics. The Mooch and his wife, Deidre Ball, have snagged a mansion in Bridgehampton South for $7.495 million, according to the New York Post. The newly built home at 30 Lawrence Court boasts eight bedrooms, seven and a half baths and a swimming pool.
